Thanks, I now have Prologue, Mystic and Spector back,(no Loopmash though), but they do not have any presets, any idea how to get them working?c0nan wrote: Thu Mar 03, 2022 11:45 am
Loopmash FX is still included. Loopmash VSTi is not. The old synths (Spector, Mystic, Prologue) aren't either but can be brought over by copying Synthengine.vst3 into Cubase 12 vst3 folder. Doesn't work with Loopmash unfortunately.

Do they have a demo version of v12 you can try?kritikon wrote: Thu Mar 03, 2022 10:30 amNah, not spending that cash on a vague maybe. Loopmash really is a dealbreaker for me.chk071 wrote: Thu Mar 03, 2022 10:28 amGive it a try.kritikon wrote: Thu Mar 03, 2022 10:27 am "Loopmash FX is still there."
Is it? Says on Steiny site it's no longer included. So if I save the VSTi from old version Cubase I could move it around and put back into the Cubase 12 VST folder and still use it?
Not sure if that would work on Mac OS on a M1 machine though.
EDIT:
Looks like it will be there soon, but not yet.

The new Midi Control mapping is amazing and worth the upgrade alone, not sure why it's hello studio one, studio one's midi mapping is kindergarten compared to this.

Gapless Audio is still there, this was one of the most requested feature requests and the fact Steinberg didn't do it, is just the constant f**k u to it's customers, so no f**k you steinberg. It's the fact your dev's can't do it, without rewriting Cubase from the ground up, and your too cowardly to admit it to your customers. Rodney Orpheus called this out back on version 4.0 ,and I always had a feeling he was right..
There we're absolutely no changes to gapless audio, you f**king liars.

Not yet. Usually, it comes a couple of weeks after the initial release.

No clue about the factory presets. You can open your own via Media Bay. After the first time the synths will show user presets.dellboy wrote: Thu Mar 03, 2022 12:14 pmThanks, I now have Prologue, Mystic and Spector back,(no Loopmash though), but they do not have any presets, any idea how to get them working?c0nan wrote: Thu Mar 03, 2022 11:45 am

It's content you can use elsewhere for instance the Sampler Track.noiseboyuk wrote: Thu Mar 03, 2022 11:18 am Wish I could help more - I never installed Loopmash so can't confirm. If it exists as a VST, I can't imagine why - uniquely - C12 wouldn't be able to see or use it.
What is odd though is that in the Steinberg Download Assistant, under Cubase 12 Pro there is a 1.23gb Loopmash content set available.

I am not sure why gapless audio is not there, whether it just requires too much work and the risks are too great and it may break something?
I can though certainly say if I had to choose 100 things that cubase doens't have yet, it wouldn't be in that list.
I rarely go on the public SB forum but are you sure it is one of the most requested features?

If I had to guess then I would assume that it needs a rewrite of the audio engine.zvenx wrote: Thu Mar 03, 2022 1:10 pm I am not sure why gapless audio is not there, whether it just requires too much work and the risks are too great and it may break something?
It never bothered me much though. So it stops audio when you insert a plugin, while you're playing back.
I surely won't get a cry attack about it.

That is completely bizarre, and not good. They've had it as a selling point for ages, people will have active projects with it in. It's one thing to not offer it new, but quite another to take it back from those they sold it to.c0nan wrote: Thu Mar 03, 2022 11:57 am t has its own vst3 file. If I copy that the plugin manager will detect it but it won't open in Cubase. The track ends up empty. I don't really use Loopmash, but I actually like the old synths. To get rid of them more or less unannounced is...well...not nice. Maybe that stuff will be available as part of the legacy downloads or something.
I think pressure should be brought to bear here.

I was happy to see that my Korg Nanocontrol was supported out the box with MIDI Remote. Nice.
I was quite unhappy to notice that you seemingly only can open the MIDI Remote window in the “Lower Zone”. You can detach it from there, but unless I am stupid and blind (always a possibility), there is now way to open the MIDI remote window via a menu or with a key command… pity. I dislike the lower zone and never use it, if possible.

I might try the demo when it's out, but it's sounding for whatever reason like Loopmash is now utterly dead to Cubase. There's Loopmash FX but really it's a pale shadow - seems to be simply a slicer on its own for single drumloop use. If Loopmash really is a goner then no need for me to even try the demo as I won't be buying it - at least not for quite a few years.Examigan wrote: Thu Mar 03, 2022 12:24 pmDo they have a demo version of v12 you can try?kritikon wrote: Thu Mar 03, 2022 10:30 amNah, not spending that cash on a vague maybe. Ultimately, I'm happy with 10.5 - it does what I bought it for. And the Artist version just doesn't offer that much more to be worth lusting after. No point in me getting angry or anything - I just carry on doing what I do now already. Just confirms what many of us Cubase customers think about Steinberg - they make a mostly good DAW that we're happy using, but they're a f**king numpty company that needs a kick up the arse sometimes. It's exactly why I don't upgrade every version like a Pavlovian dog.

Hi guys. I’ve been on Cubase 10 and bought the 10.5 update when it was heavily reduced. I’ve registered my 10.5 license yesterday and have been given the Cubase 11 update as it was within the “grace period”. However, I’m not seeing anything for Cubase 12? Will I be eligible for the “grace period” to Cubase 12 as technically I didn’t get Cubase 11 until yesterday?
