Any plugin or hardware which does "echo loop"?

You don't need to copy the file into your Reaper FX folder to use it in Reaper. Just select that VSTPlugins folder as a directory location for your VSTs in Reaper's preferences .... That file at the top (000-REAMDE-DO_NOT_INSTALL_VST_PLU..) sounds like you pre-notified yourself about this exact thing in March last year

Thanks, added the file path but same deal. This could be the demo expiration issue which is interfering with everything.
Last response from their support was:
"Hi Mike,
Unfortunately, it looks like you have already run our 30-day free trial so you will not be able to deposit a second 30-day trial into your iLok account. However, I would be happy to offer you a 10-day demo extension so that you can continue to test our products. I've deposited one of these extensions into your iLok.com account for you to activate. For some help on activating your extension."
I did as they had advised but it did not help with reaper not recognizing Soundtoys.

I think I got the activation done but now reaper shows Soundtoys fx in the VST list but the ADD option is shaded

If you use the 'FX browser' you have to drag-and-drop the effect onto what track/channel you want to apply that effect. Usually easier to just press the 'FX' button on the track/channel itself and use the 'Add FX to Track ...' chooser window instead

Ok fellas, I'm almost there, please help me knock this out of the park. Far as looping goes, I have narrowed down my choice to either Instalooper or Primal. I need to know 2 things before I can decide on which one will work for my purpose.
First, please listen to this short clip here:
https://soundcloud.com/winston-henderso ... al_sharing
as you can hear, the snare beat is being looped, echoed, repeated or whatever terminology applies. This is a screenshot of the settings I have for this effect:
https://i.postimg.cc/xdFTx54L/primal.png
What I need is to have that snare beat repeat multiple times instead of only one time as it's doing now, can anyone tell me exactly which knob I should adjust to which value for this to happen please?

Feedback is not needed, only the freeze function. Bring feedback all the way down.
You need to engage the freeze button so the light is red. But engage it on the beat where it needs to start looping after the buffer has filled. The buffer/repeat size is the value in the "Beats" readout, which is 0.5. If your DAW is set to 4/4 then this is an eighth note. So one eighth after the sound you want to loop starts, engage the freeze button. You may want to automate this so it's perfect.
As long as you hold the freeze button it will loop indefinitely. If you want to hear the looping part only, turn the "Mix" control in the output section all the way up. So you hear only the delay/loop line and not the input with it.
If you want to loop a longer section, increase the "beats" value. But you must also start the freeze loop later.

Sounds like you're on your way to a solution, but since nobody has mentioned it yet, Audio Damage ENSO can also do what you're looking for. When in overdub mode, it'll act a lot like a delay, but every time you switch it to play mode (via the trigger or the play mode button), it will keep looping whatever is in the buffer. It's a complex plugin though, so reading the manual is very helpful.

Yes, all correct, works, thank you!yellowmix wrote: Wed May 18, 2022 2:41 am You need to engage the freeze button so the light is red. Thanks, I will try it out.cthonophonic wrote: Wed May 18, 2022 4:47 am Sounds like you're on your way to a solution, but since nobody has mentioned it yet, Audio Damage ENSO can also do what you're looking for. Getting back to primal guys, final issue, please look at this pic of instalooper, I can simply press those buttons 4 buttons to get the loop according to its size. Can I do the same in any way in Primal?

Reason being, I am using Touchosc on my phone to toggle each fx in reaper so I will need to press buttons in Primal [if I am to use it] to trigger the different loops.

No, the workflow in PrimalTap is different since there is only 1 delay line loop length (when A and B are linked) which must be changed.
However, since you are using TouchOSC you can simply build a TouchOSC layout that sends the appropriate values to the BEATS parameter so yes, you can get buttons to do exactly that.

Thanks but I am not all sure about being able to "simply" build a TouchOSC layout as I had to go through hell to get my current features with no help from the developers. It was one guy Charlie on FB who had helped me get this far and I am not sure if I can get him again.yellowmix wrote: Wed May 18, 2022 11:02 pm However, since you are using TouchOSC you can simply build a TouchOSC layout that sends the appropriate values to the BEATS parameter so yes, you can get buttons to do exactly that.
Good to know that there is an option for this with Primal though. I have decided to give Instalooper one final attempt again so I am looking around for a Reaper guru who might be able to help me troubleshoot the issue with it and my complex Reaper setup.
If I can get Instalooper to work with it then problem solved. If you or anyone should know of a Reaper guru who might be willing to look into this please refer me? Thanks, guys.
