That would be nice.
Softube's emus rock.
That would be nice.
Sure, this wouldn’t have been my pick either, but if it’s good, it’s good. I don’t think it really steps on TAL’s toes because as others have mentioned, the real reason to have this is to use inside Modular.zvenx wrote: Tue Jun 07, 2022 1:52 pm But their Model 82 offers the same use in their modular system (and afaik the mini moog and the moog modular aren't identical in components...granted there is a lot of overlap though).
And the thing is everyone wants different synths..
I don't own any XILS for instance because I have zero interest in any of the synths they have recreated. Somone on gearspace wanted: "Crumar DS2, Korg PSS-3100, Siel Orchestra".. I personally have zero interest in any of those.
I can’t really say if it’s accurate, but it really does sound great.Someone mentioned an MS-20 here, but aren't other people saying the new Arturia MS-20 is fantastic?
I’m really wondering why no one’s hit the Jupiter 4 up either. It and the SH-2 are really my favorite Roland analogs of all time.Me? I agree with you, Tal already did the 101... give me a jupiter 6 or a jupter
Have you hit up Arturia’s OB-Xa V and CS-80 V? Again, no originals here to compare them to, but they sound spot on to me. I really feel like Arturia’s been hitting it out of the park lately.4 or an oberheim ob-x (yes I have obsession but I am not convinced by it), a CS-80.

No-one, apart from Cherry Audio, you mean, presumably.zerocrossing wrote: Tue Jun 07, 2022 7:55 pm I’m really wondering why no one’s hit the Jupiter 4 up either.
I have tried their OB-Xa three times.. when it was first released (I am an Oberheim Die Hard), when Obsession came out a few weeks later and a few weeks ago when Arturia had the $149 special for Pigment licensees.zerocrossing wrote: Tue Jun 07, 2022 7:55 pm .....

Funny how he says that the square waves don't match, when his SH-101's square wave sounds completely different to this SH-101 for example:
The comparison is much more extensive. I think the Model 82 is pretty close in the comparison.zvenx wrote: Tue Jun 07, 2022 8:38 pm Yes. He came to a completely different conclusion than Carr. At least Carr allowed us to hear A vs B continuously.
TAL bassline 101 and lush-101 are very different experiences to me. I like both. TAL is better for making something from scratch to purpose. Lush-101 has some cool and clever presets.foosnark wrote: Tue Jun 07, 2022 8:26 pm I like the SH-101 in general, but I'm not obsessed with it. I use LuSH-101 every once in a while. I like it overall, but find all the layer/multitimbral stuff in it kind of silly in a plugin.
How does TAL compare to that one?
I heard an a-b demo of a Jupiter 4 and Cherry’s and my first thought was, “I wonder why no one’s doing a Jupiter 4 emulation.”beely wrote: Tue Jun 07, 2022 8:01 pmNo-one, apart from Cherry Audio, you mean, presumably.zerocrossing wrote: Tue Jun 07, 2022 7:55 pm I’m really wondering why no one’s hit the Jupiter 4 up either.
(Actually, of all the Cherry synths, it's one of the ones of theirs I quite like, and will probably pick up one day if no-one else does a better one in the meantime.)

I tried to like it .. just wasn't doing it for me.
I have never tried their CS-80, either the old one or new one alas.

Arturia just made an MS-20 that sounds awesome. I guess it's not TAL specifically, but I don't understand the requirement since TAL aren't the best synth emulator company or even in the top 3 IMO.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Tue Jun 07, 2022 10:04 am There are others that they should focus their efforts on like the MS-20.
