Thorn is setting my world on fire these days. I don't know why I took so long to explore it.
If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit.

Oh, look, people who aren't being dicks. Well done Skilltrip and Boy Wonder!

If I think about the instruments I keep coming back to, the ones that always deliver and never disappoint, it's a pretty short list -

DS Thorn - I rarely need it's full feature set but whenever I load it up, it manages to give me more than I need. It's regularly on sale with PA so you don't have to spend a fortune to get it.

GR-8 - it makes no sense that this is free. It looks gr8, it sounds even better and it's easy to work with.

Union - it's just the biggest, baddest sounding synth around, also regularly available for almost nothing.

JP6K - fantastic for basses, synth strings and everything in between. $30 you won't regret spending.

Mono/Fury - another freebie that's easy to use, sounds really good and has a wide range.

I own a lot of licenses for much bigger, more expensive instruments but these are the ones I actually use every day, that always get the job done. If I had to pick just one as a favourite, it would be GR-8. Hope that helps.

Is this how you are going to be until you get your apology? Wait a minute--this is how you always are.

As opposed to those of you who were being dicks. Imagine if that was you who, as someone brand new to KVR, naively started this topic in good faith and the first dozen responses were what you see here? What conclusion might you draw about the value of KVR? If they guy ends up using teh topic to flog his own product, that's the time to pile on, not before.

I just picked up his up in their sale as their 101 was to me absolutely brilliant. Really great.

I have all these except JP6K and I know you constantly say how good they are which is making me curious to see what I can come up with using these only. Im guessing you use JP6K for its supersaw. Does this actually give you anything that paid synths doesn’t in your opinion? Cheers
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

On this week's edition of the Drunken Curmudgeon, Bones goes full-bore troll, out of desperate boredom and something else. His fascination with dicks aside, what is interesting is the faux intention, which maybe masks, ironically in a parallel fashion, a deeply ensconced desire to be a protector. While we love the spectacle, we ought not to point out his past here, as he would "rebel" and it would only strengthen the fabricated personality he is broadcasting in this thread.

Bones, look inward, and love yourself. You want to be a hero, a good person. Don't worry, we can sweep all that past muck away and love you--but only when you first decide to love yourself.

Always the most recently released one. Every synth I buy, I use for about a month, then I buy the next newest. This way I'm sure I'm always using the best.

sellling... what? most of this thread is nonsense. but yes, it's a terrible thing for people to enjoy themselves, have any fun, or indulge in playful behavior.

music-making is serious stuff, and anyone who disagrees should be punished to the full extent of the law....
I agree with you, it's not a terrible thing to enjoy ones self...but KvR cannot accomplish this simple task, the trolls come out and use threads like this every single time to take cheap shots at each other leaving the mods to babysit them like little children.
