Oh you're right, clicking buy now says product does not exist.

I imagine developers are swamped with support requests during the first hours or days after a release, including the request I sent to Rob Papen this morning. I thought they may not get back to me right away for that reason but within the hour they sorted my issue and now I'm the proud owner of Blue 3.
Great service.
I've gone through the introduction bank and am very impressed with this update. If you're a fan of iconic sounds from say 1985-1995 and up to today then Blue 3 is for you.
Those lush, moving, glassy, voxy, pads define an era for me. I'm especially enjoying the great choirs in this upgrade that capture the spirit of those days. I don't think Rob and Jon set out to make an synth that fits that era but they nailed it none the less in my opinion.
Some great Ensoniq, Waldorf, DX7, etc style sounds and Blue 3 is capable of some pretty impressive analog style patches as well.
Anyway I'm very happy with the upgrade. Best $36 I've spent in a long time. But as always try the demo to see if you like the synth or not.
Now to go make some of my own patches. I'm looking forward to getting familiar with the new user sample import......

Got my Explorer 8 license an hour ago. I will be very busy and happy for the next days. Rob Papen stuff is really a bit underrated.

I've been spending the day making patches but I've gotten some pretty loud pops when activating Osc 2. It's happened about 5 times in two different DAWs. (Win 10)
Might just be an issue here but I'd advise having a limiter on while using Blue 3 for the time being (saved me so far).
If anybody experiences the same thing please let me know. Also when you're working on the Samples tab, pay attention to the behavior of "Set External Sample Directory". Doesn't seem to persist here. It needs to be constantly reset.

He needs to have someone else do his GUIs. They’re not the worst I’ve seen, but they’re not good.

That's how it was for me and that's how I see it too.Teksonik wrote: Wed Nov 16, 2022 3:46 pm I imagine developers are swamped with support requests during the first hours or days after a release, including the request I sent to Rob Papen this morning. Trying out the demo and so far I'm very impressed- I love the sound and loads of really good presets to get into. Digital heaven and the pads
Only thing I'm a bit concerned about though is some weird clicking/popping sounds when I move the X/Y controller whilst holding a note down, and also sometimes when opening and closing the filter. It also happens when dialling in some sub osc volume. This is just gentle movements with the mouse, not throwing the cursor around kinda thing. Hoping it doesnt do this when automated.
Wondered if it was maybe something to do with the demo version.... I'm 90% sold but going to keep playing and see what else it throws up first... maybe just a bug..?

I'm afraid I have to report that Blue 3 has been very unstable for me throughout the day. It crashed 4 times taking down two different DAWs after simply clicking parameters while making patches.
The Osc On/Off button pop happened again, this time on Osc 3.
To be honest this release feels a bit rushed and I'm a huge Rob Papen fan.
But I'm not really worried about it since I have faith Rob and Jon will address the issue. I'll make a formal report to support tomorrow.
It's very possible that it's just something with my particular system but Blue II runs just fine and has for a long time.
I still recommend the upgrade but have to emphasize trying the demo before purchase especially after the way it has behaved here today.

Black Friday rush maybe. But yeah, really hoping they can get on top of the issues soon as it seems like a great synth, very versatile.Teksonik wrote: Wed Nov 16, 2022 10:31 pm I'm afraid I have to report that Blue 3 has been very unstable for me throughout the day. I got some crackles with low cpu showing. And some weird stuff like extra modulation slots getting added randomly and a parameter having weird behavior, or menu boxes showing up in the wrong part of the screen. Yeah feels rushed and a bit buggy right now.Teksonik wrote: Wed Nov 16, 2022 10:31 pm I'm afraid I have to report that Blue 3 has been very unstable for me throughout the day.
