it's neither funny in the slightest nor any surpring at all given the way he comunicates.

If he behaved anything like this in real life he'd get thrown out of every meeting, party, family-dinner... you name it - never to be invited again. (and he probably does indeed, I guess...)
I prefer people that are frank and say exactly what they think instead of the pc hypocrites.

Not sure I'd call that bizarre drivel "thinking" - it's more akin' to vomitting words... if you can read and your IQ is above (say) 80 you should have no problem at all to see how Bones' posts on the last two pages were worse bullshit than any normal person could come up with if their live depended upon it - so I really have a hard time understanding how one could defend the guy.

Jens' advice wasn't good because he recommended that a novice buy a particular $90 compressor plugin.

BONES' advice wasn't that great either because it requires taking the audio out of context of hearing the effects of compression in a mix. How the track sits in the mix after applying compression is as important as anything, if not more. A soloed track without the context of other instruments is just going to sound louder, particularly to the untrained ear.

Plus, the process is going to be real fiddly: making an adjustment, rendering, trying to remember what it looked like before compared to now, undoing, and then repeating the process.

My advice, on the other hand, was excellent, naturally, because Wave Observer is free and can be used with any compressor plugin, and you can hear the effects of the compression in context and also "see both the processed and unprocessed waveform superimposed with the changes being visible in realtime and color-coded."

Nope, I guess you must have missed where I wrote "the demo will do".

There is no need to purchase it to use it in the way I suggested and hence said suggestion was excellent!

You are welcome!

Look, I just saw you and BONES fighting and I wanted in. :scared:

Keep in mind that unlike Bones I can throw real punches if need be. ;-)

Ignoring horsesht dog whistles such as ‘PC’ it’s hilarious that some see bones as the only alternative to ‘hypocrisy’.

What the f**k kind of bollocks reasoning is that?
