What is really exciting me about this is it means NI have access to iZotope Iris and PPG Plugins tech as well as developers like Unfiltered Audio. This could lead to some interesting developments if they are motivated to actually do something creative with this tech. Also Brainworx instruments have NKS import and export built in - they could incorporate that across the whole ecosystem.

”This could lead to some interesting developments.”

Yes, it could. But it may take a long time, don’t hold your breath. As likely is the scenario, where e.g. Iris is (stays) abandoned.

They could be in a position though to make something out of that tech that rivals Logic Alchemy - that might be motivating for them - combining elements of Infinite Pro with Iris would be really cool

Post

If the past is any indication NI will be doing even less with their products because they now have an archive of other developer’s junk to tack onto Komplete updates.

Or a major version upgrade (paid) with the current version being left in the dust.

I have no feelings about this whatsoever but if I can install and update everything PA/Izotope/NI through NI Access that's just fine.

If they make it a bit better (options to install vst3 only and such...).

If ppg wavemapper and infinite are released under komplete 15 I might actally upgrade from 13.

Does anyone already know what that means for the users? If Plugin Alliance's plugins will be available for download and activation in Native Access, I assume that you will be able to connect your Plugin Alliance account to the Native Instruments one? How will this work exactly?

These marketing announcements really leave a lot of questions...

interesting data presented well. pretty zippy pace but seems to hit all the bullet points. i generally enjoy his youtube videos.

NI potentially buying Spitfire seems the most interesting bit, besides Iztotope, BW, and PA all being renamed to NI.
