Much closer than the first comparison. I'd say close enough! The Roland Kick may have a tad more thump to it in this example but barely noticable and not worse. D16 Snare seems much improved over V1.zvenx wrote: Wed Sep 06, 2023 12:51 pm I spent some more time trying to get them closer, and actually disabled all the eqs I had per sound in D16 (the effects per pad/sound is just crazy in drumazon 2) to make it a fairer comparison (I forgot to turn them off the previous upload).

Agreed.
I think if i had used the D16 per pad eq's and effects I could have gotten a lot closer but might be considered 'cheating'.

Yep echoing the same observation. Awesome.chk071 wrote: Wed Sep 06, 2023 1:10 pm And, yep, the second example is much closer. Still a few differences, but, for me in the "I don't care" region. Actually, I preferred Drumazon 2 in that example.
Now something completely different: When can we download a demo

And then they will go back in time and release Nepheton 2 on Aug 8. Unless that's next August...

Hey beta testers! Bass drum at the top of the sequencer? Everyone knows drum sequencers should be bass at the bottom, then snare above, and work upwards. Just like drum music notation.
I'm giving you guys an F- (or E- if you're in the UK) for not having reported and resolved that earlier.

It's short for basement drum, after all.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Thu Sep 07, 2023 3:19 pm Everyone knows drum sequencers should be bass at the bottom

Seems like a trivial matter but I agree. Especially if the drums respond to GM MIDI notes. (Bass note #36, Snare on #38 or #40) etc.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Thu Sep 07, 2023 3:19 pm Hey beta testers! Bass drum at the top of the sequencer? So in the Drumazon Grid it will be Bass then down and in the piano roll it will be Bass then up.
I'll probably pass on the Drumazon upgrade but the Nepheton upgrade will probably be an instant buy depending on sound and price of course.

Bass drum at the top is the NI Maschine way of doing this too.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Thu Sep 07, 2023 3:19 pm Hey beta testers! Bass drum at the top of the sequencer? Everyone knows drum sequencers should be bass at the bottom, then snare above, and work upwards. Just like drum music notation.

Maybe that's the inspiration.
