Exactly that. Too many here see Falcon as a synth, but to me it's a sampler with synth capabilities.zerocrossing wrote: Tue Oct 17, 2023 5:31 am It’s funny how many people hate Falcon’s workflow. I must admit, it is far from intuitive, but once you watch their tutorials and see how it’s all laid out, I find it very logically put together and easy to use. The main thing is knowing where to put elements in the chain. It’s not always clear, but you get used to it pretty quickly.
I think people also get a bit confused when they compare a synth like Falcon to a synth like Phase Plant. They’re both multi-engine synthesizers, but Falcon is far more rooted as a sample playback machine than most anything else. I tend to think of it as Kontakt with other synth engines grafted on. Anyway, I think it’s great. I can’t wait until v3 is released. I wonder what the upgrade cost will be.
And as a sampler, there's nothing better. Works much faster and intuitive than others. With the added benefit of being able to add osc's when needed, or going as deep as you need to. Currently it's my main drum design tool, next to Backbone.
Some things could be streamlined ofcourse. Curious about v3.
