EDIT:
this post is irrelevant, as the McRocklin Cry Boy is available for purchase separately already
FYI, no matter how much I love pedals, I'm not interested in the McRocklin Suite.
(Of course, I don't mind you giving it away to people who are)
Just saying, in case that info is useful to you.

The "GET IT FREE" button has a note below explaining that's free with the purchase of the suite (which is actually 50% off using the coupon we posted on the original thread)... otherwise is 29, which is a honest price imho.Agreed wrote: Fri Feb 09, 2024 7:56 pm "Get it free! with purchase of $149 software suite" did make me chuckle a bit - not hating, you've given us some legendary quality freebies under the Audiority brand, and if the Crybaby model is as good as your work usually is I bet the $29 is well spent for people wanting a good classic wah ITB, I just don't like that kind of marketing approach personally where you click the button that says free but it turns out you're still a purchase away from the finish line. I am curious about the dual brands too!
About the dual brand, I've explained last year in another thread. As Audiority, I didn't want to make the brand too guitar-centric, especially when it comes to amps.
About the tax dodge, I smile because I understand that's a joke
Cheers,
Luca

If you intend to put out more pedal emulations under the McRocklin brand, I do hope you will make 'em available as separate purchases (as I am not interested in the McRocklin Suite; BTW I'm a guitar player and own nearly every Audiority plugin).

The wah is already available as separate purchase. It's not mandatory to have or purchase the suite.

That's great - your site left me under the impression it's only available bundled with the suite though.
Only when I click "LEARN MORE" the option to purchase is shown. Just a friendly FYI...

What I'd like to see in a wah plugin is a full model of the potentiometer. Only about half of the full range of motion of the potentiometer is exposed in a wah, and depending on how you set it in the gear, you can vary the wah's range. I'd like to see a control that allows you to adjust which range of the potentiometer is exposed to the pedal. Something like this:
———[—————]——
range^
Also, being able to swap in various inductor models would be cool.

That part was definitely a joke. That said, I have two words for you: Cayman Islands.Audiority wrote: Fri Feb 09, 2024 8:10 pm About the tax dodge, I smile because I understand that's a jokeAudiority is based in Italy and owns part of PolyChrome, which is in UK. None of the two countries are tax heavens lol I pay quite a lot of taxes. The new company was set up because, as said, the many projects I had for guitar based plugins would made Audiority a guitar-centric brand. I found in Thomas a great partner and a great friend to establish the new company and, just to be absolutely clear, you'll see more cool stuff with PolyChrome.

@jamcat: that would be nice. There is a lot of room for improvements and you know me… there will be more

I noticed a similar problem in CryBoy to the problem I found in Electric Matter (fixed in 1.3). When you move the Wah pedal smoothly with your mouse (or trackpad), it's quite choppy, hitting a series of distinct tones like bad Autotune. But it works smoothly when controlled with a hardware controller or automation.
Other wah emulations I tried (Nembrini, Studio One Pedalboard, AmpliTube) don't get choppy with a mouse/trackpad.
EDIT: I'm noticing a bit of this quantization effect at the top of the range when using a hardware pedal controller, too, in the last 5% to 10% of CryBoy, starting right where the HF boost starts to peak.

I'd like to see a TYPE menu (like Octaver82 has) in CryBoy that gives [at least] the following options:Audiority wrote: Fri Feb 09, 2024 10:03 pm @jamcat: that would be nice. There is a lot of room for improvements and you know me… there will be more![]()
