I don't know whether it can be usefull ... but let's add a "logistic function". Dial in in the formula input box 1 / (1+exp(-8*(x-0.5)))
You can replace the 8 by higher values to get a steeper sigmoid and use lower values to have less step sigmoid.

@liqih - cool - nice mix of sounds at the end - liking it a lot :-)

It's really early.... but here's my submission. I'm in a weird mood I guess. I like this so much the idea of making any additional changes makes me angry lol. I suppose I may feel differently later. But anyway I love how it sounds so here it is:

In The Thin Air Tonight

Had a lot of fun collecting techno clichés sounds and throwing them together in a little show case of typical elements that I stole/borrowed/copy-pasted (in terms of ideas) from other tracks of the genre. In my car and on my phone and through head phones this has a good mix and drive, got separation and balance ... it's fun to turn on the volume on this.
Producer Note: The "speech like" I-A-O-U patch is actually really a single patch which does not use any formant filter or what so ever ... it's just the result of endless minutes of experiment because I had the feel I need some mantra-esque thing. Only thing that is done outside the synth in terms of sound is the tremolo followed by some obvious mixing stuff.
The hardest part was actually to get cute, not so harsh sounds out of regency in order to get what I call "mostly enough to call it a melody" for techno. In the end harsh and cute fight in a call/respones fashion. When you give me enough beer, a room with strobe light and fog ... I can go mantra style for a few hours on such stuff.

Details:
39 * Regency
Bitwig: Compressor, Dynamics, PeakLimiter, various Delays, Tremolo, Tool, Reverb
Meldaproduction: MEqualizer, MCompressor, MTremolo
Other 3rdParty: ISOL8, LENS, Loudmax, QuickHaas, Valhalla SuperMassive

Hi all,

An update for those interested in how to combine existing formulas in multiple windows in Regency Syhthesizer into one formula in one window while preserving the existing sound:

Stupid question, but where on macOS (M1) would the CLAP be installed to? I'm new to the mac and really can't find it.
I've looked through the installer script and it should've created the Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/CLAP folder, but it didn't. It also did never complain, so.... that's weird?! I suppose it isn't prepared for Sonoma, yet? :ud:

In the install script, it looks like it's putting it in your user library (~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/CLAP, in your home directory), as opposed to the system library (/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/CLAP, in the root directory), so be sure you're looking there. The user library is, quite obnoxiously, hidden by default, so I'm guessing you were looking in the system library. You can open your user plugins directory by selecting Go > Go to Folder from the menu and entering ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins.

I have long since set the finder to show hidden files and added my user library to the finder sidebar. This makes accessing many things more convenient.

That's it, FIP, thank you! :tu: :tu: :tu:
Really still have to wrap my mind around things on the mac. But it's going pretty well already. Plus this machine is beautiful and dead quiet. Eerie almost.
