Jean-Michel Jarre's 1997 concert in Moscow. Was 13 at the time, but still one of the best shows I've been to.

My only other concerts were Patti LaBelle. She was awesome. Celine Dion, right around the Titanic craze. God, she had a voice, and Janet Jackson on her Rhythm Nation tour (I see what you're doing Beyonce). I will say don't pass up a chance. Had a chance to go see Roy Orbison and then Diana Ross, but blew it off. Orbison died like the next week and Ross doesn't tour anymore. I also just learned that Orbison may have been no small part of The Beatles success here. He was touring in London and saw The Beatles and called someone he knew that worked for Ed Sullivan and told them about this really great act he'd just seem and they should book them. I love that.

So nobody saw U2's ZooTV? That shit is more classic than half the bullshit options listed.
I saw the ZooTV Outside Broadcast with Sugarcubes and Public Enemy.
Bjork was destined to be a star. She nailed it in front of thousands.

So far, more KVR members have seen Pink Floyd then any of the other bands.
How were they?

Wiki says they've only done 12 tours, is that right? Since the 70's? What is that, two and a half per decade?

Great show. My nephew was there the night before, he said a Spitfire came over the arena (suspended by cables) but that did not happen on my show. Either it was broken, or they changed the setlist, or I was too stoned and it went passed my attention.PatchAdamz wrote: Thu Jul 04, 2024 11:27 am So far, more KVR members have seen Pink Floyd then any of the other bands.

I did count the lights: 750 of 'em. So I might have been too stoned.

Forgot to mention, they played The Great Gig In The Sky, sung by Sam Brown. She nailed it. And they had that round video screen above the stage with spotlights around it. (I started counting them but forgot how many)

Last time I saw RUSH was their Roll The Bones tour. For some reason they hadn't included Ahoy Rotterdam (for good reasons, acoustics of that hall is terrible) so we had to go to Germany.
At the car park I drew the attention of an american guy (likely a soldier, loads of US Army guys were stationned there) who had localised a familiar smell. So I let him smoke my pipe. He wanted to pay for it, but I refused that. "Unless" I said "you pay in dollars, I'll take that as a souvenir". And I still have that dollar note, a nickle and the dime he gave me.
I saw Zappa in Ahoy Rotterdam. Lucky he wanted to play there. Some years before that in Amsterdam the audience threw flowers on the stage, whuch annoyed him so much he avoided Holland for years.
Rolling Stones - around '89 in Rotterdam's football stadium De Kuip (from Feyenoord)
I only went there because I thought it could be my last chance to see them.
There, my whole contribution to the top 5 reviewed.
