The only issue is that when exquisite people (like ones with British accents) say it nobody is going to be able to tell the difference.

Imagine this quote but replace the word "British" with "Indian" and see how hilarious it seems then.JasonSpatola wrote: Tue Sep 24, 2024 11:34 pm [The only issue is that when exquisite people (like ones with British accents) say it nobody is going to be able to tell the difference.

You were probably tongue in cheek. But there is zero priority to support Linux.audiojunkie wrote: Tue Sep 24, 2024 5:23 pmHow about reporting to N.I. that they need to make Native Access 2 friendlier to WINE?![]()

The joke doesn't track quite as well with Indian accents because of how the a is pronounced.noiseboyuk wrote: Wed Sep 25, 2024 5:05 amImagine this quote but replace the word "British" with "Indian" and see how hilarious it seems then.JasonSpatola wrote: Tue Sep 24, 2024 11:34 pm [The only issue is that when exquisite people (like ones with British accents) say it nobody is going to be able to tell the difference.
Per my Gujarati pal, Ukti: Here's the audio:

Doesn't really sound like "sompler" if ya dig.

Vendor‑Dependent Copy Protection: Customers lose. Pirates win.
(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

Seems to be zero priority to support Native Access 2 in general.EvilDragon wrote: Wed Sep 25, 2024 6:00 amYou were probably tongue in cheek. Dumb piece of shit still cant install updates for vst's on my system without me having to use the NI Uninstall RegTool_64bit on each and every individual update. Drives me insane, i now have 20 vst updates that wont update and zero interest in using any NI stuff anymore.
Mac mini m4 pro, Reaper, too many plugins, Modal Argon8, Novation Circuit Mono Station and now a lovely Waldorf Blofeld.

Nothing in here -so far I can see without upgrading from K7- which is worth the upgrading. Every single yt video is showing the new tools but what about the backend? Any changes here? Chords and Phrases - pretty annoying stuff, very much aimed to beginners with no plan to start. Sick.

The changelog is pretty extensive as far as engine and instrument building improvements/fixes.

How could this possibly matter?wayford wrote: Wed Sep 25, 2024 7:16 am I know this is such a nitpick, but this has been this way since Kontakt 7 (at least in player version) and throughout various versions, the team of designers, devs, and then QA didn't notice that the search box has different corner radii on two sides?
It's the same even in promo images

It doesn't matter, but it's the fact that this bug has been on the front page (sitting right at the top) of their flagship product since the release of the previous major version (or rather one of the 7.x.x. updates).

It's the fact...what? Each to their own, and you did indicate that it's nitpicking, but I feel you're taking some implict meaning from something that- tbph- I can't even see...wayford wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2024 12:07 amIt doesn't matter, but it's the fact that this bug has been on the front page (sitting right at the top) of their flagship product since the release of the previous major version (or rather one of the 7.x.x. updates).

I think the point of this is attention to detail!swilow11 wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2024 12:20 amIt's the fact...what? It's easy to assume if they missed the corners on the search bar, they missed other things as well. And we know they have!
A detail I see emerging from NI is much higher $$$ for updating. No thanks
I have a really fast computer, some good mics, vintage musical instruments, and lots of fancy software. Just need some talent

It's always been expensive (£89 in the UK) to update just Kontakt.A detail I see emerging from NI is much higher $$$ for updating. No thanks
I usually wait until something comes out that only runs in the new version.
Of course, there's always the half price sale next year
