FYI: there's indications that the SoundBox content is more or less recycled material from the days when Audiomodern were still selling Kontakt libraries.

More than indications, it was confirmed that those 3 libraries were indeed straight "converted" from the old Kontakt versions (I'm pretty sure AM confirmed that was the case, somewhere, that's probably been scrubbed by now)

I don't give a f**k, the free library and Kromium sound absolutely f**king great! I made this in a couple of hours the other night, on four layers using presets, with virtually no mixing and no effects, other than my usual master chain.

OK, if I'd found out about this when you guys did, I might have your attitude but it seems they've sorted that shit out and I had no problem getting either the free player or the free library.

So because you happened to get into it after they had sorted their sh*t and shafted both customers and YouTubers in the process, that makes everything OK? Yeah, no wonder you want to buy into it even more because they pulled the "woke" card on someone who wasn't even being woke.

You realise that the main reason they actually got off their arses and did a free version was that they were gonna not be able to be allowed on the iOS app store otherwise?

Even with a positive outlook, I'm sure you would be one of those more upset about the whole fiasco if you were directly affected by it. By lied to and slandered by a company, who you were engaged by to promote their products, is very poor form and it's completely understandable that people want to share their experience and vent their frustrations etc. I don't think it's fair to try to write it off as "unnecessary hate".

I have a few AM products and I'm disappointed with their behaviour. Companies aren't my friends, but it's still reasonable to expect them to properly conduct themselves and be professional at the very least. Personally, I'm reluctant to open my wallets for them again, because some of what they have done is bordering on unhinged and I don't see that as a sign of good business health and it's therefore reasonable to distance oneself from it. I don't consider this to be jumping on the hatewagon or some such, just sensible consumer behaviour.

Is that what I said? No it f**king isn't. Learn to f**king read. That said, if they screwed over some f**king wanker nobody's ever heard of on YouTube, all the better. It's their forum, if they want to scrub posts from it, that's their prerogative. It's not like this place doesn't do exactly the f**king same when it suits them.

Yea good for you, but you hopefully get the point that it's a rather shameless act by that company. Especially considering all the other crap this software release brought to us.
And somehow I suspect somebody like you would be one of the more upset folks worldwide, if you'd find out you've already bought the same stuff years ago, only in a different looking package.

Why? If you have the Kontakt versions, you'd work that out from the FREE library that goes with their FREE player, so it wouldn't cost you more than 5c worth of bandwidth.
