And hear...what? At least in Logic, you can't double load synths in the same channel, and Serum 2 won't go in the midi fx slot. If you can route the midi out from one channel to another that has a different synth, well then you may have something. But what a PITA. The real need is for a sequencer/arp that does what Serum 2 can do, apart from Serum 2.

It's pretty easy to route the MIDI from one Instrument track into another in Logic Pro since version 11 came out (check up the Internal MIDI In option in the Region Inspector)

+1 for HY-Plugins sequencers. They're awesome. Also want to mention that you can use Playbeat by Audiomodern as a sequencer. You don't need to use its internal sounds. The smart randomization features of Playbeat are >>> Riffer.

Thank you! You're right. I admit I'm being lazy. I'll dig into this. But still, instead of paying for the full price of Serum 2 (which I haven't done yet), wouldn't it be nice to have its clip (sequencer)/Arp combo available as a separate (maybe less expensive) plugin?

You can chain the sequences. It has lots of steps. It’s an AUv3 MIDI fx plugin that works on Mac and iPad & supports MacOS Ableton Live, Apple Logic etc. It’s brilliant I just discovered it yesterday. HY-Plugins HY-MPS3 & StepPolyArp have the best features.

I found something called NovoNotes SideRack that seems like a dream. Basically, it's supposed to use your iPhone or iPad as a plugin, including MIDI FX. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get it to work with Studio One or Luna, although I'd still recommend giving it a try because it has an MPE MIDI controller built-in that DOES work:

Oh, I missed that before. Like a polyphonic Seqund... different lines playing against each other is pretty cool.

(Of course, one could do that with multiple Seqund instances on multiple channels, though it's a bit more work... hmm.)
