BLEASS Monolit

Post

Hello
This time, a bit different genre from me.

https://soundcloud.com/michal-maxym-koz ... onolithium

The Monolit makes one of my thoughts from the past appear again: playing a bass and melody using a single preset of a monophonic synth. Not that I invented that, but still... Finally, I had the opportunity to try this out. I hope you will enjoy it.

Speaking about the synth, I found it harder to manage than other synths. Dialing desired results was kind of hit or miss for me (for example, I'm still not satisfied with a bass drum, btw 2 instances layered ). Some results were clicking and were hard to get rid of. Obviously, my limited experience is partly to blame.

The plugins list was generated by the Reaper script.

DAW: Reaper7.37

Instruments:
19x VST3i: BLEASS Monolit (BLEASS)
3x VSTi: BlueARP (graywolf2004)

Effects:
10x JS: MIDI Note Filter
18x JS: ReEQ - Parametric Graphic Equalizer
3x JS: Saike SEQS (Sequenced FX) (beta)
4x VST3: Cramit (Sixth Sample)
1x VST3: Tube Amp (Voxengo)
6x VST3: ValhallaSupermassive (Valhalla DSP, LLC)
1x VST: CHOWTapeModel (chowdsp)
3x VST: OrilRiver (Denis Tihanov)
2x VST: ReaComp (Cockos)
9x VST: ReaDelay (Cockos)
4x VST: ReaLimit (Cockos)

Monitoring plugins:
1x JS: Goniometer
1x JS: Oscilloscope Meter (Cockos)
1x JS: ReSpectrum
1x VST3: Youlean Loudness Meter 2 (Youlean) (10ch)
1x VST: SPAN (Voxengo) (8ch)

Offline/inactive plugins:
1x VST3i: DrumComputer (Sugar Bytes) (20 out)

Note that DrumComputer is here just because I used it to generate drums into MIDI.
Noteworthy is to mention Saike SEQS plugin (unfortunately, for non-Reaper users, it's Jesusonic format). It's an interesting tool/sequencer to create various glitch-like effects.

Post

Voted! I really like what everyone was able to squeeze out of Monolit :phones:

Post

Voted. In spite of Monolit being a basic synth with lots of moans, we ended up with a another brilliant load of tracks!
