No envelopes. It just played different portions of the loop. I could see you doing a similar thing, with each step representing an ⅛ or 1/16 note. Rearranging the loop would be done by moving the step up or down:

Problem is reverbs are complicated and there are many different types.

Thanks for the notice, I could build a reverb for this challenge - have new references, but currently busy with another project. Don't think I'll participate unless a good quick idea comes to mind, have until July to come up with something.
