
Don't dismiss "older" synths (f.e. Zebra 2)

I don‘t share this view. I want to habe the latest and the greatest. I agree, that older synth might be still good today in terms of sound, but I can‘t stand all these dated GUIs. E.g. curve drawing is horrible in Zebra 2 with this strange combinations of modifier keys and right clicks to draw and delete points. Never understood, how one could come to implement it like this.
So there are many improvements on modern synths and I tend to prefer Serum, Pigments or Phase Plant over other synths, when it comes to sound programming, because it‘s the most fun.
When it comes to play just existent presets the GUI doesn‘t that big role. But even then I find sounds from e.g. Hive much more modern and imoressive than Zebra ones, which have some kind of cheesyness to me.
