Fase is very promising but needs a lot of work doing to it, and the developer told me they're prioritising a hardware version before any updates to the plugin. I would have thought they'd want to make the software perfect before putting it in a box, but what do I know?bermudagold wrote: Sun Apr 26, 2026 2:42 am has he mentioned anything about price range?...i'm lookin at manifold omega and fase as well...circa is pretty pricy

yes, has a demo mode where you can test every aspect to see if it fits your workflow.pekbro wrote: Sun Apr 26, 2026 6:57 pm It has a demo mode?
limited I think, heh I didn't demo it very long myself.
Audio Dropouts and no preset saving, but besides you can check it out fully functional.
Thanks for your purchase
Although its really working state with 1.0, ill try to make things (like sequencer) even better and more fluid in future. Also maybe a track history buffer to expand the control of your "perfect" loop. Lets see

Agreed.
I’m curious where this sits with plugins like Enso and Circa?

not comparable to ENSO, since this is 1 Stereo Track looping, with some really smart tricks like reversal rec under the hood, so more kind of a cool 1Track LoopPedal.
Had a look on Circa again, and i really like it, great GUI and Feel. It has 6 Stereo Tracks, but a bit too much sub menu diving to get to the relevant controls for for my taste. But Great Modulation System and again, the UI is godlike. HziLooper feels more direct and immediate to me, but thats because i know this guy really good now 4 sure
HziLooper has some more dedicated channel Fx and A/B Channel Morphing, Snapshot Mprhing + Randomisaztion functions, Circa looks better with solid internal midi mapping. Hmm.
I think you have to DL both Demo Versions and see what fits your Style and Preferences the most

This looks really great!
What plugin formats will you offer on Linux?
I'm on CachyOS preferring CLAP, but VST(2/3) is also fine (Bitwig, Renoise, StudioPro, Reaper).
I assume we get the plugin for all platforms if we buy it?
Thanks and Cheers,
Tom

when i first saw early prototypes I said nice, something similar to loopy pro for folks who dont have ipads...but he has taken it many different directions since...harmonizer, granular, spectral morph, foley layer... seems pretty unique...worth a demo for sure

yes, not flexible as loopy pro, loopy pro is more an environment for creating your own perfect loop layouts. While Hzilooper is fixed to 8 Tracks max, it offers most important control for me working on loops directly in the layout, like filtering, pitching and stretching, reverse, distortion and space fx.bermudagold wrote: Mon Apr 27, 2026 3:07 pmwhen i first saw early prototypes I said nice, something similar to loopy pro for folks who dont have ipads...but he has taken it many different directions since...harmonizer, granular, spectral morph, foley layer... seems pretty unique...worth a demo for sure
Drag and Drop stuff quickly and getting into more experimental terrain when needed with granular and morphing, but its never a must. Harmonizer was a really early feature, it actually randomizes pitch on rulesets - so what works together good already in harmonic ways, it will after harmonizing
