CHECK SMOOTH WARM WIDE

Push is pretty interesting, though I still find the zoom on the analyzer a bit strange. I'll probably pick it up, thx for keeping the price intact. The bundle was not for me, though I probably would have bought it if it had included PUSH when released. Oh well.

-Cheers

hey pekbro, thanks for spending some time with push, and for the note on the zoom: definitely something i would like to know how to improve - i am still going a bit back n forth on the controls

here is how the analyzer behaves right now, so you can tell me whether what you're seeing matches what it's meant to do. the spectrum is log-frequency, 20Hz to 20kHz by default, and push has sensitivity nodes sitting on top of it (the dots on the curve). the gestures do different things depending on whether your cursor is over a node or over empty display.

on empty display:
- scroll wheel zooms in and out, centered on wherever your cursor is.
- right-click zooms in 2x, also centered on the cursor.
- double-click resets back to the full 20Hz to 20kHz view.
- it won't zoom past a 200Hz span, so it can't strand you on a single bin.

on a node, the same gestures drive the node instead:
- drag moves it (left/right is frequency, up/down is sensitivity).
- scroll wheel adjusts its Q.
- double-clicking the label lets you type exact values.

the thing that trips some people up is there's no drag-to-pan once you're zoomed in. to re-center you scroll at the cursor. if that's the gap you hit, it's a fair one and it's on my list to look at. if it's something else, give me a quick repro (what you did, what you expected, what happened) and i'll dig into the source rather than guess.

while i'm here, a real update for the thread. push v1.1.0 shipped, and i added LIVE mode as a free update across SMOOTH, WARM and PUSH. the sound is unchanged, same three characters.

LIVE mode is an opt-in low-latency mode. the HQ path runs a 4096-point fft at full resolution, around 93ms at 44.1k. LIVE drops that to around 12ms (1024-fft, 50% overlap, sqrt-hann) so you can track or monitor through it, then flip it back off for mixing. it's already in the build if you own any of the three. wide stays as it is (its allpass pipeline is already ~2-5ms) and check is analysis-only so it's already zero latency.

thanks!
