Xenakis 'Persepolis'
TG 'D.O.A.'
Whitehouse 'Erector'
Three records that warped my fragile little mind when I was a wee lad of 14. Never looked back.

20 jazz funk greats - by throbbing gristle
replicas - gary numan
empire state human - human league
systems of romance - ultravox
man machine - kraftwerk
metamatic - john foxx
these i think are very influential. a lot of the later alnums people are posting here i think really had very little "influence" as the electronica market was already fragmented and well understood.
the early artists were influential because they *created* this market and were listened to by a much broader audience.

There are many I love, but the first one I listened to that made me think "Woah...I wanna do that!" was Apollo 440 - Electro Glide in Blue.
In fact, everytime I listen to that I still think "Woah...I wanna do that!".

Lessee.... The stuff that got me turned on to electronic music in the first place would be industrial. So them first:
Skinny Puppy- Too Dark Park
Cabaret Voltaire- I can't actually pick one that's more influetial to me, they're too good.
Front Line Assembly- Gashed Senses & Crossfire, and Tactical Neural Implant. Hell, I still have Gashed Senses & Crossfire in my 3-disc changer!
Front 242- Front by Front. Headhunter and Welcome to Paradise were the first electronic music I ever heard.
Err, now for other stuff:
DJ Dieselboy- Err, I dunno. It's just that he's good. He turned me on to Dn'B and that whole area of music.
Aphex Twin- Classics, Selected Ambient Works 85-92, and Come to Daddy. This guy does -everything-, and does it damn well too.
My Bloody Valentine- Loveless. Because, well, it's Loveless! What the hell else can you say?
New Order- Power, Corruption, and Lies.
Cocteau Twins- All their stuff.
BT- Movement in Still Life.
Infected Mushroom- B.P. Empire.
Sasha- Xpander.
Xome- I don't know which one really, I can't remember.
Kraftwerk- Computer World(yeah, I know it was just mentioned), and Electric Cafe. Oh, about 'It's More Fun to Compute': The first time I put it on was at a party, and people kept coming up to me and asking me what was wrong with my speakers.
Sigur Ros- Agaetis Byrjun, and (). These guys are basically the inspiration for the droney slow ambient stuff I've been doing lately.
Okay, I'll stop talking now, because I think that was everything.
edit: Ooh, damn it. I forgot Throbbing Gristle- 20 Jazz Funk Greats, Mouse on Mars-Niun Niggung and Iaora Tahiti and Audiotacker, Philip Glass, and John Cage. Oh well. I already said way too much.

But the biggest influences for me were Tangerine Dream (Rubycon and Phaedra) Fripp and Eno, Laurie Anderson (Let X=X, I got this out of an art magazine and it mesmerized me for weeks) and an album called Zero from 1978, don't know the artist.
The nineties turned me onto Banco de Gaia and Orbital and I have been listening to alot of Ian Boddy lately.
And here at Kvr I have a big fondness for Vurt's music altho I hesitate to let it influence my work now, he might sue me for plagerism
Yes this was one of the first but it is hard to say for sure, (1967 was a great year for underground radio here in the states-yes I am that old) I was also hearing Stockhausen, Cage, Riley, and those of that generation. Also Hendrix (Electric Ladyland has some killer sounds done on guitar, George Harrison Wonderwall, and The United States of America.Morton Subotnick: Silver Apples of the Moon 1967! (Buchla synth)
This is an amazing piece--highly recommend it!

Oh, well, if you want to just go naming everything that's been inluential to me, then . . .
Todd Dockstader (Apocalypse/Quartermass)
I'll second Morton Subotnick (Wild Bull/Silver Apples)
Vladimir Ussachevsky (Film Music)
Mother Mallard's Portable Masterpiece Co. (Like a Duck to Water--the first group to tour live with a Minimoog?)
Terry Riley (Shri Camel/Persian Surgery Dervishes)
Steve Reich (Music for 18 Musicial--saw it live at the Building Museum aka Pension Building in DC AMAZING space! I want an IR from there)
Philip Glass (Music in 12 Parts/North Star/Einstien on the Beach--saw it live at BAM on mushrooms WHOAH!--Music in Changing Parts/Music in Fifths/Music in Similar Motion)
David Bowie (Low--the electronic work on this is moving enough to make you cry)
Eno--plus Fripp &--(uh, like everything)
Heldon -- everything
Sensation's Fix (Portable Madness--very rare, unknown and under rated; great string synth parts)
Einzelganger (Georgio Moroder's early Kraftwerk-esque work, very unusual)
JM Jarre (obvious)
Klaus "God" Schulze (everything up to and including half of Dune)
I'll second Gary Numan Replicas
Devo (first 3 or 4 albums, but especial #1--saw it live in Olens Mills MD in the round, first use of wireless mics/guitars I ever saw and on kick ass show!)
Hardfloor; gotta love 'em
Orbital (before Snivilization)
S.E.T.I. (all)
Plastikman (all)
That's way more than enough, though I'm sure I forgot tons.

A mixture of tracks and albums, I know ...
Old:
JMJ - Zoolook
Kraftwerk - Computer World
Vangelis - China
Sky - Toccata
Herbie Hancock - Rockit
Recent:
Tweaker - 2am Wakeup Call
Bass Communion - Ghosts on magnetic tape
Joy Electric - The White Songbook
And, surprised that nobody else seems to have mentioned this - a shitload of computer and videogame music, especially from the early 80's and early 90's (when the MOD scene was huge).
