and how the f**k is she supposed to make music? I mean, I have less than fifteen synth plugins, and all my inspiration is gone... :hihi:
I'm so sorry gentlemen. But, Wendy Carlos & Jane Child has way more hardware synths than Amanda Pelk...AKA Cikira. Don't believe me? Check this out:

Now if you're just getting started, or need to round out your collection...

And as much as people like to argue, to me, hardware still has a 'polish' to it that's usually not 'quite' there in software. That doesn't go for everything, mind you...

And you're right. Some of us still like the sound of a Roland XP-30. But Sampletank 2 isn't there yet. But it's close! 8)

....and BT will also have a new overproduce album with nothing but patches made with the Korg OASYS! :D :hihi:

my question has always been... you have all that money to buy all those synths, and you run them through f**king mackie boards? that's women for ya ;)
Real men use keyboard controllers (USB or Firewire). 8)

And speaking of myself, the mic is plug directly in the soundcard. I know, it not the professional way. But I'm correct it this summer! 8)

Amanda loves to have opinions.

But I think Vince Clarke is the master of keyboard opinions though. :hihi:

you're wrong, look at the pictures of amanda pelk's studio. the 2 you mention have better recording setups, and more vintage rarities... course, i suppose a well taken care of moog modular beats any room full of modern synthesizers any day. ;)

i was at namm too, and I saw stephen kay (karma developer) doing some oasys demos, and they didn’t sound much like yanni. they sounded cool, more like fusion prog rock or something. maybe you didn’t go at the beginning and end of the day when he was on. also, i saw some of the other demo guys and your comment just seems off track.

i doubt i could afford one of these, but it's got some attractive features, i thought it sounded great. and please, give me some of that high-paying "tv hack work." ;)

I prefer having all on 1 pc, not having to deal with sysex for total recall etc. No thanks.
Sysex ? Never !
Today, most workstations have fantastic sequencers which have everything you'd really need to produce music and it's all presented in a friendly fashion.
Hence, you'd never need to use Sysex and your PC.
That's the whole idea of the 'workstation'concept = all self-contained. One button press and your song and settings are perfectly recalled. This sometimes doesn't even happen on my PC. :?
