2 years to do an upgrade is a long time all right... But if it all works perfectly with no bugs, people forget quickly... 2 years, to do an upgrade and the program doesn't work properly... people don't forget that! Propellarheads do very well in this category...

I think you're becoming a Reason fanboy, of course anything else won't seem exciting to you.ttoz wrote:sorry, but i just don't find the new feature set exciting.
Fall short on what? Tracktion has features that are yet to be implemented in other host. Sonar still doesn't load VST's natively, still rely on a problematic wrapper and what, no context sensitive interface? Wake up Cakewalk, it's 2005 now. fL studio? No PDC yet? And don't get me started on Cubase, I'll just direct you to their own forum to read angry comments... Reason? Well, it's not a host, and I really can't get passed the kiddy toy like interface; my cat likes all the dangling wires thoughtIf anything it seems like a cath up to the other players but still falls short. maybe i shouldn't have said disgusting though, i'll give you that
Point is, they all fall short at one point or another, you just choose which one work best for you and try to work around any shortcoming it might have. But to call Tracktion feature set disgusting clearly shows a misinformed lack of judgement

I guess, but comments like this really need counterbalancing. I really don't want somebody overlooking Tracktion just on the strenght of post like this. The latest release of the NFR version as brought a lot of quality peoples to the T forum, from which I learned a lot, and of course I'd like the ball to keep rolling.ttoz wrote:ezy rider, i already apologized and said the disgusting comment was overboard. isn't that enough?
Ok, but why? I thought you turned your back on open standard and went Reason all the way? Why such concern for a host that you have no use for?i can't help it, i was expecting a lot more from this update.
BTW, don't you think Angelina looked better before her boob job?

I most strongly disagree! This is just a matter of preference - personally I think eXT is much easier to use than Tracktion is several aspects and I know others who think the same. (friends of me who just couldn't get familiar with Tracktion but dig eXT (after I gave them a quick introduction - something I did with Tracktion as well b.t.w.))headquest wrote: eXT, sure, but hardly has ease of use.

Who do have in mind for example? I think it's still the same powerusers like one and a half years ago...Ezy Ryder wrote: The latest release of the NFR version has brought a lot of quality peoples to the T forum, from which I learned a lot, and of course I'd like the ball to keep rolling.
(tbh I think it's rather the other way around)

jens, you'll have to make abstraction of the resident Troll which as been polluting the forum first (too bad we can't filters posters like on Usenet).
I'm not going to name anybody here, but I often find answer to my questions just by browsing the forum, without even having to ask the question in the first place. You probably can't see that because, having used the program for so much longer than I have, you probably don't have the same interrogation that I have.
