As the celestial parade again brings the promise of renewal strange rites must be performed to ensure the successful transition of the seasons.

flower faeries
lyrics
Marsh Marigold
you're just the thing
or so I'm told
A dose of Hollyhock*
and I'll mistake the clock
for rain, April rain
Let's not work today
I'd rather fly away
with the flowers and the faeries
the mysteries of life
hush, don't talk so loud
you might bring down my cloud
with the flowers and the faeries
maybe never coming back
* Hollyhock buds were used in a recipe of 1660 with Marigolds, Wild Thyme and young Hazel buds - this concoction enabled you to be able to see fairies. Children used to make Hollyhock dolls from the flowers.
i think that explains it.
tools energyXT, manystation, plugsound free, sfz, lazysnake, ZR3, PSP nitro & vintage warmer, kjaerhus classic comp, luxonix lfx1310.

Okay, so, like it's 6:00 a.m. and you're in bed with the windows open and all the fresh spring air flowing in over your body as you float in a timeless early morning dream, transporting you back to some eternal and mythical time of childhood; the world is a shinning sphere of wonder and delight; you are one with all sentient beings; you are omniscient and omnipresent, communing with the great Universal Self . . .
. . . And then the alarm clock pulls the rug out from under you and you suddenly realize it's not the sounds of birds and clean spring breezes coming in the window, but the sounds of bulldozers digging up the once verdant field behind your house in preparation for those damned apartment buildings going in back there, and auto fumes from the street so close you could spit on it.
But it gets worse . . . it's Thursday morning and you're running late for work.
You frantically drag yourself from bed and muddle your way through breakfast, still half caught up in your interrupted slumber, mind drifting in psychotic waves between the waking world's realities of low-carb diets, middle-aged morning pharmaceutical routines and the trippy dream-induced nostalgia of bygone college days.
Then it's off to work only to be assaulted by phone calls, deadlines, broken databases, pointless meetings and all you hear from your friends and coworkers is, "Damn, springtime really pisses me off."
Yeah . . . it's just that kind of song.
Part of it is indeed a remake of Pink Floyd's song Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast. Part of it is inspired by Douglas Adams's aversion to Thursdays. There's one movie reference, bits of two old springtime poems and the sounds of many of my friends and coworkers who graciously offered up their ideas of all the reasons springtime can be held in just contempt by right thinking people everywhere.
Lads and ladies, I give you my first KVR entry (three parts in 2 minutes, what a bargain!):
Alan's Psychedelic Suburban Springtime Workday: Wrong Side Of The Bed/Rush Hour/Work Time
**edit** Bit of a muddle first time round on the name this link should work.

Estonian Acoustic Grand
Absynth 2 (three instances)
FM7
Battery 2

Another month, another track... took me some time to finish this, strangely enough. Hope you all like it!

And now for something completely different
pollen as ogg vorbis
pollen as mp3
tools used:
h4rd w@rez - samick LSE450 | bass collection SB331 | Boss GT3
software - eXT, sampler stuffed with TBT Sonor kit & Hypertone's Wurlitzer 200 | multilens | blockfish | mda delay | mjrotodelay | reverb companion | oldskoolverb | t-sledge
No birdie sounds.
Mix is not quite satisfactory, but time's up.
(never blame lack of talent when you can blame lack of time...)
