Good Vocal Mics... any ideas?

remember....I say this often...If you have a noisey (ambient noise) enviroment a good mic will also pick more of that up too...like me I live on a real busy street....when I do vocals I try my best with blankets (I've even used my matress) to block out soud from the windows (and yes they are closed) I also live on the main route to the hospital so sirens have ruined a take or two...;)
