my host provider is www.aruba.it (i am afraid that the site is in italian only...no, wait, they have other languages) they offer different plans...mine has Unlimited Disk space, no restriction on bandwidth (they call it "best-effort"...), 5 mailboxes, other services..costs about 25 Euros/Year (20.66 + VAT)

Hi,
just wanted to ask Giro how he hit the snare and toms; left hand hits, right hand hits, both?
I really love the kit, and I'm trying to do these right hand/left hand snare drums, so any help would be appreciated! thanks!

HI MAN! You are trying to map the snare samples or you are sampling your own? let me know. But let me see if this helps you!edouard.skippo wrote:Hi,

I sampled the snare drum with both hands and some times just with one hand. What I do is I sample lots of velocities and then assign the even # to one key and the od # to an other key!
(D1-E1) or just put all layers in one key and the make a copy of it to E1 but the sampler does not duplicate.. It makes a ghost copy! This helps with the size of the library!
Same thing with the tom toms
Hope this helps!
I'm working on a new library. You can see the new thread later and listen to the demos and take a peak to the drum set.
cheers!

Could the file be broken up into smaller parcels of under 50MB, Im not sure my download manager will resume for this file - 181MB is a big file?

the file is actually 349MB uncompressed, HALion 2.0.3.5 vesion. (2 drum kits)
To me 181mb is a small file.
Once you are succesful downloading, you may use other formats with the library wich are available at AUTODAFE.NET
Be sure to thank the dude hosting my free drum kit, ok!

Well, Giro I did just like you said before reading your reply: even sample on one note, and uneven on another one.. and that's much better for snare rolls than everything on one note; jou just comforted me in my way of doing that.
Thanks for the drumkit, and i'm following the other thread too! Can't wait

Just wanted to say thank you for putting this kit together, it sounds great! I really like that the snare isn't as ringy as a lot of other kits. I'm still working out the mapping in Kontakt, for multiple outs, but this is great, and very, very appreciated!

If you want very easy access to multiouts I recommend trying my Kompakt conversions. There's one instrument for each drum "class". Just load them all into Kontakt, set all MIDI channels to one and there you go. Easy output routing straight in Kontakts instrument window without having to deal with zone or group assignments. This also offers convenient and quick volume/pan control.loveless wrote: I'm still working out the mapping in Kontakt, for multiple outs, but this is great, and very, very appreciated!
Sure, you'll "waste" an entire instance of Kontakt for a drumset only - but that shouldn't be a big deal.

just a quick question for Giro, as I haven't seen it mentioned in this thread: are the samples processed in any way (appart from the mixing of the mics) that's to say compresses, eq-ed or anything?
