The audio-demo's are nice Markus! Sounds like another winner. I can't wait to demo it altho i'm already sure it's a VERY good synth since it's by Tone2 and i usually love Tone2 products. I am a proud owner of several Tone2 plugins and i'm sure i'll add this new Electrax thingamagingy to my arsenal at some point. Your synths are my favorite Native ones. Keep up the great work!
T2 Icarus is a must. SonicCore SCOPE is the most. As heart of studio it has my vote, cause XITE-1 is all she wrote.

Thanks for the very positive feedback on the demosong.
Maybe we'll rework the demosong after the release. The best way to evelaute the product is by downloading the free demoversion.
We plan to include the patches:
37 Leads
63 Pads
12 Organs
11 Vocoder
11 Trancegate
52 Synth
66 Sequences
19 Semireal
22 Percussive
12 Brass
49 Keys
28 Effect
49 Bass
26 Atmo
43 Arpeggiator
30 Vocal
22 Drum
Best Regards,
Markus Feil
ElectraX will ship with 552 patches which contain over 700 sounds. We will of course also cover standard sounds. However we decided to keep them out of the demosong, because it's difficult to to impress people with these sounds. People would quickly say 'boring', 'unimpressive' or 'sounds like Synth XY'. That's why we focused on more unique sounds. How about concentrating on categories of sounds that are essential to almost all music?
...
Just show beatiful bread and butter sounds.

Worth repeating:

Better to go "under the hood" and do some hard work with it than to expect magic sounds to fall into your lap.
(And excellent presets are better than ANY demo, ANY day.
)
And, of course, this is true for ANY software.Markus from Tone2.com wrote:Maybe we'll rework the demosong after the release. The best way to evelaute the product is by downloading the free demoversion.

Good news:
+ The PC version of ElectraX is finished.
+ Sound design is finished.
+ Testing is finished.
+ Demosong is finished (http://www.tone2.com/Tone2_ElectraX_Synthesizer.mp3).
+ Handbook is finished.
We will be able to deliver the product on the planed release at the beginning of December.
I could upload the handbook. This could give you more detailed information about the features and answer many questions. Are you interested in this?

Will Gladiator 2 owners get some discount?
Sample import was promised but never implemented!
That "promised" feature was the main reason I purchased Gladiator...very unprofessional from you...
Discount could help in recovering some faith

GLADIATOR questions (Offtopic)
--------------------
Q: Can HCM Synthesis do resynthesis and sample sounds?
A: Playback of resynthesized instruments and playback of samples is possible since Gladiator v1.0 and is a very basic part of the HCM concept. You can find more details in the handbook.
---------
Q: Epansion for Resynthesis of custom content?
A: Sample import or resynthesis of custom content were never annouced as a feature of the basic version of Gladiator. They were planed as an expansion. This expansion is delayed or dropped, since we were running into compatibility problems with some hosts. Beside of that we were not completely satisfied with the usability and sound quality of the product. We won't release anything healfhearted. Please take a look at our forum for more details.
---------
Q: How can i load cusom samples to Gladiator?
A: It is possible to load samples to the current version of Gladitor. You can find more details here:
http://www.tone2.org/forum/index.php?topic=469.0
---------
Q: How can i get the free resynthesis tool?
A: A free resynthesis tool for Gladiator2 is also available. This tool is available for free for registered forum users.
What does it do:
It allows you to create custom vocoder sounds or to resynthesise instruments.
It loads a 16 bit mono wav file and creates a custom mf2 files (custom HCM synthesis oscillator) for Tone2 Gladiator2.
You can find it here:

I would definitely be interested in the handbook before the synth is released.

Handbook would be great to read before it comes out. I think every dev should do this. It's not like anyone wants to read a manual when the product is out and you can just play with it. But learning a few things about before hand when can't yet play with it is a good way to hold over your curiosity and learn a couple things for when you do get to use it.
And I too bought Gladiator 2 for the resynthesis expansion. I'd say many people thought it was a safe bet that was coming, given that it even had a button on the gui which was later removed. But I don't really care now anyways, I think it'll fit better with this one.

Markus said fair price...dunno what it can be though.Nielzie wrote:Really curious what the price of this synth will be. What do you think? Same price as Gladiator ($199/EUR 149) or more than that?
Anyway, i think this one will hit the spot. I kinda sometimes was lost in all those modifiers in G2, so this one can give desired result much faster. I couldn't bother with this synth if it hasn't so fast modulation rate.
P.S: btw, here http://www.tone2.com/html/electrax_synt ... st_au.html is the first picture of the synth has a dark skin(best for me), but when i click on it, white skin pop-up.

I think it'll be cheaper than gladiator. 149 is my bet. The competition in prices right now is pretty stiff. I think they'll do better overall with a more moderate price like that. (Wasn't it posted as 129 or something for a brief while on KVR and then removed, maybe just an accident).
