This could be the most invasive VST of all time. Not only did it install 10 new dll's in my Windows system directory and folders and files just about everywhere during install + endless registry entries, but loading the VST dll in the DAW and it will actually write cookies (!) in my cookies folder + dll's and other files to system folders and worst of all, wants VIA THE DAW to install a global hook.. Not a global hook from the dll itself, but via the DAW exe. And god knows what else. Hitting buttons like custom shop and icons like '?' would not open a browser, but according to the firewall try to make an out endpoint connection directly.
Actually felt physically clean after uninstalling.

It's a VST that is also a marketing device and an online store. I wouldn't be surprised if the iToonz player does similar things. I'm very unexcited about those aspects myself, though I do like the relatively easy access to modules for demo purposes.V'ger wrote:

Folks who keep their DAW offline are retarded fools and cowards anyway.
Is anybody still aware that even extremely complex apps like Opera, to name one example, can work just fine off a USB stick, not feeding that greedy registry monster at all ?
... and don't even think of replying that Opera needs internet access, it's just fine as browser for offline files as well if desired.

wed to some trickery to fend off pirates. Business as usual. I've had the

Apparently their uninstaller is well coded, give that guy free amp credits

remember, more often than not when someone sees something in you they dislike it's really what you reflect and it's what they see in themselves they actually dislike.
