Thanks for all who tried to help me set it up with another synth, and vocals.

I can't get it to work, it definitely isn't the way other vocoders work in live as near as I can tell.

Hopefully the dev will chime in soon

figured out how to get it going in reaper, but now in pro tools it says my license is not valid, yet it is ok in reaper.

V+ manual is up.

V+ Inst VST2.4 32bits is working in DEMO mode.

V+ Inst VST2.4 64bits fails to load due to missing license.

Haven't tested VST3 or FX only versions.

iAs far as I can see, it does not state how we can have another synth act as a the carrier.

Please someone tell me how to do this, the dev says it's possible.

awesome vocoder sound so far using itself as a carrier though.

I was just about to buy this, it says 89 euro on the store screen, click it and it goes to 99 euro.

so far, this vocoder sounds incredible, but I've been frustrated from the get go.

first the non ilok download didn't work, after I tried three times. luckily, The ilok version worked, but the manual wasn't available, not I'm ready to buy and the price is 89 on one page, but 99 on another.

this process has been pretty much a pain in the ass, only to find out it doesn't matter. I will have to pay the 99 now, because you didn't' have a download ready, and a manual to read.

The price was due to go up on the 26th(today), the demo was not officially going live until the 26th, I would say the 89 price is just something they missed when updating the site for the release/as is the manual link/windows non dongle demo. hopefully by the end of today they will have fixed all these things.

Hi Everybody,

First a big thank for all of those who trusted us and subscribed to the pre-order campaign, and a big thank for all the nice words you wrote or sent us about the XILS V+.

Here is a very quick (I must hurry up to update a lot of things) answer to several posts I read (sorry, maybe I missed some!)

- Pre-order campaign ended yesterday (in fact this morning, French Time)
- We are now in the Launch offer campaign with dongle free demo, time limited license available. This launch offer will end on June 30th and the XILS V+ will the be listed at 149€.

- The manual has been proofread this morning and was uploaded a few hours ago.
It is now available ( download web page or demo web page)

- Dongle free demo : Something went wrong during the last full product build. I'm currently building a new version (only for the dongle free demo today). It will be available within an hour or two
_ VST3 seems not to work correctly (crashes). We will work on this issue and fix it within two days or so

About using an external synth : It's depends on your DAW as you need to use the side chain feature. Once the side chain is correctly setup, the "Ext Synth" fader is mixing the external input carrier to the internal carrier (when the fader is at 100%, only the external carrier is used)
We will provide a tutorial video for this (but we still need some time, sorry for the delay)

OK, back to work, I will keep you tuned about the new dongle free demo.

Hi DW,

The preorder at 89€ was an additional reward to all Xils lab lovers, at the price that there was not a working demo version at that time. It was due to change today, and you probably experienced is the change of price from the preorder to the introductory price ( 99€ ). This was clearly specified on the site, and in many posts of this thread. Sorry that you ordered just during the changing.

The release of the full version, the demo versions, and the manual was released today. So yesterday in the evening was just a bit in advance. The link to the manual is now corrected, and the problems on the non dongled demo versions will be fixed with very high priority.

Then a v1.01 is already schedulled to fix the main bugs. If you're new to Xils, you might not be aware that Xils is always very reactive to bugs, especially after the release of a new unit where there are always more or less problems, also because the V+, with its two versions, the vocoder etc is quite an unothodox machine, and brought new challenges, and therefore new problems. maybe some people here can add testimonials of their experience with Xils reactivity.

Anyway, back to work now, we also need to sleep sometimes, to be able to serve you the best during day/work time

As for the manual, I think, listening to some posts here and in other major forums, that we need to include some examples, with screenshots, of how to use the Vocoder part in the major hosts. Eventually Video tutorials also. This was something I already thought of a few weeks ago, but then other priorities made us forget this. It will be corrected.

To answer my own question ...

In AUDIOMULCH I can use the vocoder fine after I press the PLAY button in the top bar. What can I do in BIDULE to get the vocoder running?

The needed ingredients are a 'Sync Transport' which provides the sync source and then select this in 'XILS V+', click on the PLAY button and voila...

Yeah, I got home from my gig and was going to order the V+ just prior to 12am my time, but the price had already changed. Pity... but at least I'll be able to hold on to my money for another month

Bug: Ctrl + 'mouse click' on Tune knob sets it to -1. I guess it should be set 0 since it's usually the default value.

Instead of things like pre order deals and if you really want to reward XILS lovers like me, wouldn't it be better to offer a customer loyalty discount like Fab Filter do? This seems fair for people like me who have most or all the XILS synths and FX...
I was quite excited when I first heard about the release of the V+ but was hesitant about the pre order offer as I wanted to demo the vocoder to make sure it was as good as advertised as not all vocoders are created equal. A loyalty discount or a longer grace period on the intro price (so that we could give the demo a go) might have been a bit more gracious... I'm a bit on the fence at the moment as there are a lot of very good synthesized string and voice emulations around at the moment IMHO... so the real selling point for me is the vocoder.
The GUI is one of the nicest i've seen.
