Lovely intro. I like the synth line sliding around. Great use of reverb throughout. Interesting chords which work well with the instrumentation and the semi-melody. Good 808-through-an-old-amplifier too.

Bonkers. Still can't figure out the rhythm, which I bet is intentional. Some nice production to enhance the weirdo ambience. Like a Warp artist slowed down. There are labels out there that publish this stuff, you know.

The strings and acoustic guitar at the start are lovely. Rap is totally unexpected (am I repeating myself?
) - I assume this is a sample 
The beat is a tad pedestrian, however the top-notch guitars, strings and general atmos more than make up for it. Nice mix and production too.

Wopelka - Fly Away
This is crazy
If Mel Brooks ever remakes "The Producers" he should hire you to write new songs for the musical. It's like a cross between "The Sound of Music" and Monty Python. Another one-of-a-kind (there are a few here on KvR - which is great). Keep em coming Wopelka - I never fail to be surprised and delighted.
The instrumentation, mix, production all add to the truly off-kilter feel of this. Weel done.

2 reasons i don't sing in french :
1 - i have no french lyrics (KVR Lyrics thread is great)
2 - i hate when a review begins by "i don't get a word but...."

The only sample off a record that I used is a 30 second accapella of Tupac Shakur. It has someone going ouh ouh once or twice in the background as well.
Everything else I played myself, mostly using sampletank2, with the use of Energy xt ( using it's chords and arp feature, I made the guitar play ). You are the second person to comment on the drums. Yeah, I will change them. I am going to keep the same pattern but change the samples.

Now here's something you don't hear every day (unless you listen to a lot of chamber music ).
Nicely done. Really nice composition and refreshing to hear something so different. Doesn't seem to lose much from being VSTI based (ass opposed to musicians in a room - based) although the mix could do with some re-working to dampen those bits where the strings overpower.

Excellent drum and bass work. The piano is great too. I sometimes find that synths sound a bit out of place in this type of music to me. But then, I guess the point is that there are NO rules.
I can really appreciate the incredible skills and work that went into this, even if I do find it a bit challenging for my poor brain :hih:

Armadillo - A New Arrival
Wow.
I really liked this. It's a great mix of styles, with some great drum programming and excellent instrumentation. When it grooves, it grooves really well and you've broken it up in places just right, so that when the beat comes back in, we are nodding our heads.
