it's probably just a coincidence that the two biggest apologists and promoters of this instrument/company within the forum, stand to benefit commercially by the existence of another platform to sell their wares.impartiality... i think not.

And so what, anybody have the right to be excited about a new product.

Still waiting on UVI to confirm or disconfirm crossgrading. the right, and ethical thing to do.

I wish there were demo's of the simple acoustic multisamples. How does the piano sound? The strings? The acoustic bass, etc? I understand that this is more than just a sample-player, but the sampled instruments are important.

Re the cheapest price, somebody here said that the best place if buying from Europe was Best Service, but if you buy from JRRShop it comes out at $229 - I haven't bought it yet, but I've got to the Paypal log in page, and it still says $229, so I presume it isn't going to add any more, and that equates to just under £150. Best Service's 239 Euros equates to around £171 - so if I actually log into my Paypal account, will the JRRShop site then add 20% VAT to make it £180?

Sorry to quote myself, but nobody else on this thread has mentioned JRRShop's price, which is $229, which equates to just under £150, cheaper than Best Service. Is this correct? It's just that the last few pages have been about people getting a slight discount on Best Service's price, but it still costs more than getting it straight from JRRShop, without any need to buy a gift voucher.

@Simon: Great tutorial. One remark: I think the position not jumping back to the end is because you are in ping-pong mode for sample playback, works otherwise...

Falcon indeed looks very tempting but i will try to find out if REALLY need it based on the many great synths i alraedy got and also based on the fact i recently got 3 new hardware synths (which are: Novation UltraNova, Korg DW-8000, Ensoniiq ESQ-1 ; the last 2 of those this week).

Really sad that currently there does not seem to be a demo version.

Simon, a couple of questions about the granular engine if you don't mind. I can't view the video where I am now .. so you may cover this in the video. Sorry if this is covered already.

Do we have directional control of the grains (reverse playback)?
If so can you split forward and reverse grains in the same patch?

Cheers, you're right I forgot about that, setting “Loop Mode“ to “Forward“ will make the playhead jump to the end point of the loop when using negative Direction-values. Sorry for spreading misinformation
