The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Not that I have the money but I've been thinking of this day and night recently.

It's a grid set up in fourths that is twenty four columns(frets) by twelve rows(strings)

Okay so it's not a guitar. Honestly after getting my z6 I never touch the strings. Just the "keys" on the neck.Hink wrote:where do the strings gotapper mike wrote:Not that I have the money but I've been thinking of this day and night recently.

On my Z6
The usual place

When I got it the threads that hold the strings down were bore out so I can't get a decent tension on the strings to play with them. That's how I got it on the cheap.
Think of a z-board as just laying a z6 on it's back and adding 6 more strings.
I'm fairly adept at over(right hand) chords, scales, melodies etc now so that hand wouldn't have transition issues. What would is the left hand having to play over
Okay so maybe it doesn't fit in the "Your next guitar" thread.

Next bass is a Bongo 4HH. I actually had one briefly about 4 years ago. I listened to a track I had recorded with it while I had it and thought, "Gosh, that was a good bass sound." Really was a big, bold-sounding bass with a fat bottom end. So I decided to give one a go again. This one's a little dinged up, but for 1/2 the price of a new one, I can live with it. Should arrive tomorrow just in time to track the bass part on a new song I'm working away at.

Yep I am a fan of the Bongo bass also/MusicMan in general. Dinged up for a great price is IMveryhumbleHO way better than shiny new as chances are it'll have a played in feel that is a positive. The bongo doesn't have an unbalanced low-end to clarity/presence either which makes it not a chore to fit it in almost any mix. Only things that are stopping/helping me not want to spend on a very nice bass are my closest friend and co-conspirator buying a Jazz bass pretty recently along with a friend I don't see as often but when I do he is kind enough to let me use his Spector 5-string. If it weren't for those I'd be lusting and not enjoying my yammy RBX very much (It's alright/Does the job if I can't get either of the mentioned). This is a very good deal and I'd be well up for it if I were your side gent's http://www.ebay.com/itm/Music-Man-S-U-B ... 19df00ffc7 - Absolute bargain
