Even if it didn't suport SSE3 there's still enough room for optimisation. Like SSE2, which is suported by AthlonXP

my amd64 3000+ 754 don't have any sse3 instructions according to "sandra"

hm, perhaps sandra don't kow what it's talking about...it says my amd64 socket 754 has sse/sse2 but not sse3 ...:?

could be. or it could be that older, those 130nm units didn't support sse3.

I think NewCastle doesn't support sse3

no metion of any sse3 instructions..I think that the data sheet link you first posted has some flaws in it
