It couldn't hurt to write Allen at esoundz. He may not be able to help, but if he can, he will.tdm71 wrote:I wanted to refer someone my points but forgot till it was too late. How can I refer someone now that I joined?

I know this is OT, and I am happy about the group by and all, but what happened to the Ken Scott EPIK DRUMS and the Neil Peart "The Kit" Libraries? EPIK DRUMS was supposed to be available in 4Q 2009, and "The Kit" in 1Q 2010 (which ends in a couple of weeks). I really hope this group buy stuff isn't getting in the way of getting those done. I also don't seem to be getting answers to these questions via e-mail or using the KVR Sonic Reality forum.
I have participated in just about every group buy to date, and I understand that they are a great deal for the money..I am just looking for info on the other stuff.
Thanks for the time...now back to our regularly scheduled program.

EpiK DrumS - A Ken Scott Collection turned into one of the hardest products we've ever made. Before that was Ocean Way Drums which took over a year solid to do and this one took a solid two years. There are different people at Sonic Reality that do different aspects of these products all at different times which overlap. So it isn't like one product happens and then another after in serial. Many aspects of development affect each of the products especially if they relate. For instance, the script work that was done for these past two bundle Group Buys was something we wanted to do for EpiK DrumS and Neil Peart's kit - neither of which could be completed any sooner without it either.
So, I can tell you that the hold up on EpiK DrumS - A Ken Scott Collection is that we both wanted to have the latest scripts for it AND Ken is extremely particular about what he wants which makes him who he is. Doing this to his standards was beyond what we had ever experienced before. It was insane. But the end result is worth it. The product is just absolutely incredible. We're very proud of it and we should be ready to release it in the next week or two max. The groove part is done (huge undertaking with just that) and the kits are being finalized now. Also being released is a "box set" of "Drummer Tracks" from the 5 drummers in the Ken Scott Collection as well. That wasn't even announced... so, some things are late and some things are early!
As for Neil Peart Drums... the hold up there being something different. More to do with red tape but I can't really discuss it publicly. Let's just say it was more difficult to get all sign offs on all aspects of the product but that it is slowly but surely making its way out the door. As for which version will be out first - the Infinite Player version or the BFD2 version - it depends. Both are extremely close to being finished. But, both EpiK and Peart are being finalized by different people than those working on Drum Masters 2 and this Group Buy.
As for not getting emails... Allen is good about emailing back so perhaps he didn't get your email or visa versa. You can also use the esoundz support ticket system as well... and also our forum which I am there almost everyday. If I missed a question I'm sorry but I am happy to answer. I may sometimes miss some questions. At least I am replying at 11 pm on Sunday though which has to count for something.

Squids,
Thanks for the reply! (and yes, 11pm on a Sunday counts for something indeed!).
I appreciate the detailed answers (as usual).
My apologies to all for highjacking the thread. Looking forward to the new stuff when it makes it through the maze.
Meanwhile, I guess it's time to jump into the Ultimate Studio Drums Bundle II group buy.....

oh, that was really quick to reach 200!
and seems that the participants now have more options, right?
just wanted to clarify -- now we'll have a redeem code to pick up two
from Infinite Player and eight multi-track drum kits (choice of two from nine (1+8) options), right?
congrats everyone!
by the way, Squids, will there be any chance you'll run a group buy for IK's stompIO or stealth board?

200+ people have already joined the Group Buy. It means that the lowest price trier has been reached. $99 is the current price. However, there are some extras to be earned. Next target level is 300.

+1 for RobyF, he referred me too so he really deserves some ePointz.Reverend Rhythm wrote:A big thank you to RobyF for the epointz!![]()
How about passing it on? We're at 214 now. When you sign up refer someone (like RobyF maybe?), and both you and the person you refer get $5 in epointz.
I also got a referral from Tamalonis. Thank you both very much. (I wonder who you both are

No, not a chance. However, since you bring it up you reminded me to tell you. How can I say this without getting in trouble? ...hmmmm. Alright. I'll just say it. Stomp IO is really incredible and most people misunderstand its value. You can see that Stealth Board just as a midi controller costs a lot less. So why should Stomp IO be more? Because it is like a FULL surface controller! It is like the Digi 003 is to a ProTools. It isn't just a midi controller but you can do EVERYTHING from performance to editing from it! It TALKS to AmpliTube in real time and on top of that it has a high quality audio interface built-in which was designed for guitar.bassman63 wrote:

Alright so it Stomp IO is great. Solid. Powerful. Now imagine this is your last chance to get it EVER and once that is gone... that's it (kind of like these Ultimate Studio Drums Bundles Group Buys!). Imagine whatever stock is left of it is something you ought to snap up while you can. I am not saying anything official here. I am just giving you a tip. If you were thinking about getting it I WOULD and asap. We have a handful left in stock on www.esoundz.com You can look around and see if a local dealer has it... but don't take it for granted that it will always be there.

Squids, I have 2 questions. I know you said it before but I want to make sure because can get confusing as great as this is…..
Number 1 On The Ultimate Studio Drums DVD Upgrade, are all 4 Multitrack Drum Masters Kits (NDV Gretsch, NDV Premier, JB Sonor and Mapex Blasticks Kit) from Drum Master Kits 1 or 2?
Number 2 you said "Yeah, we're not going to leave any DM1 user out. No messing around. If you own ANY DM1 kit we're going to get you the DM2 patch versions when they are available which is getting closer and closer (Stereo kits coming first which are now STm kits, the MT kits next). But the upgrades will be sweet as well for the new content and we hope people will support the series anyway. Kind of a two way cool thing we're going for. Free update, inexpensive upgrades for new content... good feeling that you invested in something that increases in value either way."
Does this apply to the multitrack grooves as well? Even though I already downloaded the first GB, it's nice to have to DVDs as a backup and seeing the 4 multitrack kits at no charge seemed liked a good deal as well as the DVD for this GB2. I don't want to duplicate what I already have????..... I do understand that the DM2 upgrades from the DM1 kits and grooves don't have the new snares and extras.
