Personally I have no real issue with GAS, the goal for me (beyond playing guitar) with synths and samplers, FX, DAWs etc. was to have enough gear to hear something in your head and be able to replicate it. My biggest issue with GAS is bundled collections:
Komplete Ultimate
AAS
Ohm Force
Sound Toys 5
Nomad Factory
Arturia V Collection
incomplete collections or minor of:
U-He
XiLs
Fabfilter
PSP
SoundHack
Waldorf Collection
and you end up only using maybe half at most of these plug ins, just clutter.
