Sure, but if you can install freely from backups, then anyone can. In other words, there is no protection at all. At some point, a connection needs to be established, at least once. We chose to go for one-time activation because we believe a plugin, once authorized, should never connect to the internet or require anything else (like a dongle for example).

Which operating system? :hihi:
What´s so funny here? :x .........
That Logic is limited to Mac anyway as far as I know 8)

Anyway, what I noticed right away is that that there is no value readout when using the mouse wheel - not so good. Can't you turn the main display into a huge value readout display while operating any controls?
And it would be nice if one could disable the SA background image in the display.

But despite the 30-day and other limits, I like that there is no noise or session timeout in the demo version :)

The large skin fits perfectly on my screen.

Question: Does it make any sense to report bugs occurring in DAWs that are 4 years old and have had 4 new versions released since?

I'm asking because, after really diving into Dune 3, I have uncovered a number of bugs, mostly to do with the wavetable editor. My thinking is that there is no way Synapse can possibly test these old DAW versions so what would be the point in reporting the problems?

Having said that, I've purchased new plugins (earlier this year got Biotek 2) that work perfectly fine. So why so many problems with Dune 3? I get it's version 3.0 and I'm sure down the road maybe a lot of these will problems will be identified and fixed, but right now, this is a bit unnerving. I shouldn't be getting "Critical Exception" errors in Cubase.

Aside from the crashes, I do love the sound and the functionality and I'm hoping that eventually everything will get sorted out.

It's because you changed your avatar.

Ok, to avoid quoting lengthy posts ....

I know Zebra has logarithmic envelopes and so does DUNE.

The MSEGs don't help either.

They're just not as good as Spire's IMHO.

Edit:

Almost forgot: it's not a placebo. ;)

Yes please. We look into everything and try to reproduce/fix as much as we possibly can. :)

Yeah, that's probably it.

I find the envelopes themselves pretty decent now, despite the silly knob controls.
And it is intuitive, found out how to enable retrigger without reading in the manual, if there is one 8) With retrigger on and the right phase, the envelopes sound pretty snappy in my view.

Richard, do I email you? Is there a support area on the site to submit bug reports? How does the procedure work?

A. Sale price for upgrade
B. V3 is patched with more features
C. Wait for v4

Until then you lost a customer. But i guess you got enough to justify this bad v3 version and dont care.
we get it, you're not happy with the update. dont buy it, move on. :tu:
yeah i move on, thats why i wrote ABC. no offense taken.

im still laughing how Richard avoids all critics. shows true respect. :tu: some just like only positive feedbacks

Manuel from VENGEANCE also replies to critics etc. im no fanboy of avenger but it just shows how much more value some plugins give you and some devs care? more for customers than others. even parawave, which i dont support cause after buying their RAPID vst it gets NFR which is a no go.
there are always 2 sides i get it, i will still be interested in future updates lets see. anyways have fun with it.

yes, if you can give as much info as poss, we can pass it on and maybe get a fix.

if they don't know, they can't do anything

edit: Rich already answered

well, basically, what you are saying is you dont think its worth the price, but you would buy it if it was cheaper

Rich has obviously worked out what 2 years or more work for at least two ppl is worth, so saying its not worth it is kind of an insult. i dont think he really has to defend himself against a few ppl who feel that way

if you dont think its worth the upgrade price, dont buy it, simple.

I found a slight oversight Synapse: Arp2 note and velocity are not listed as available sources in the mod matrix.
