Is it just the demo that’s out Monday or is it the actual release?
It sounds great, looking forward to testing it out.

Nice, looking forward to test it finally. I really like the trigger feature and use that often in other tools. I hope we can also modulate modulators and modulate the modulators of the modulators etc. here too.

Plasmonic sounds great, very alive, and I also like the GUI (but I understand why others might not like it). Having backed this campaign was a good choice. For MPE users, this is a must have anyway. Well done, Brian Clevinger!

The first moments I played Plasmonic, it was clear to me that this synth has the potential to become a classic like Absynth. It is very playable and feels like true instrument especially when I use it in the MPE modus with my Seaboard. Nearly all parameters have a MPE entry, so it makes the synth very responsive to an MPE controller. It certainly has a bit of the DNA of Absynth, its looks, routing stuff and not the usual end-effects. Where Absynth is more analog, sample and granular based, Plasmonic explores the realm of physical modelling where a resonator is excited by wavetable oscillators, pulse and a noise module. The polyphonic saturations also adds to the organic feel of this synth and the two sequential space modules have a typical sound character. Well done

Funny enough, there are always people claiming that you cook something like this up in Reaktor. True, but throwing 4 wheels, an engine and a steering wheel in the mix will give you a car but it’s not necessary a nice car. This is a nice synth with its components well-chosen and tweaked for performance. So get the demo when available and support Brian, so we see this synth grow like Absynth did. Brian is listening, so I can image that something like a mutator or a preset morpher will appear someday in Plasmonic.

Anything can be cooked up in reaktor (core) if you have the required dsp chops , if it will be just as cpu effiecient as a c++ coded plugin is another story .

Can we draw our own msegs/envs like in Absynth or they are fixed?

Envelopes are only ADSR.
A well-behaved signature.

First impressions of the video is a mixed bag -- great GUI similar to the Unfiltered Audio which is a huge plus in my book. However the sound, at least from what I've heard so far, appears to be very similar to Resonans synth (which I love, but don't need another synth for).

Regardless, the combo of the UA style GUI, modeling focus, and a few different bells and whistles... I'll be at least demoing it.
Have you tried Vital?
