This keeps coming up... the 'V' absolutely used to stand for "vintage".

Besides being effectively called "Vintage Collection" in all official press releases before it got shortened to "VCollection", I also recall "vintage" being confirmed by Arturia employees on the official forum.

Maybe I'm wrong but I've personally never seen anyone anywhere confirming it now officially means "Virtual Collection". It's mostly people just assuming it, which is quite understandable considering that many of the recently added instruments have nothing to do with "vintage".

This all sounds perfectly plausible.

It's always been weird that the Augmented series is in and Pigments is out, but does appear in Analog Lab. Confusingly bonkers really.

Owait, wrong thread.

Seriously, since in the past major releases they have added both a classic vocoder and a classic string machine, I think a VP330 V could be a welcome addition.

"Analog" Lab is another one that no longer quite makes sense. There are emulations of several digital synths in Analog Lab now. Maybe they should rename it to Arturia Lab or something.

Though personally I don't care either way. They could call it Potato Labrador for all I care as long as the synths sound good.
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

Post

My most wanted for Potato Labrador is more Korg stuff like Mono/Poly, Polysix. Also hope for an Alpha Juno. Synthex maybe?

One person. Chintinmin.

Arturia delivering for Chintinmin! Maybe they can ask for a drum product next.

Post

Bummer. I’m one of the few, I guess, that never really liked the TB-303. I know it’s iconic but it has always had a farty sound to me.

Post

I guess Collection 10 might actually include all the roland drums to go with the 303? Drum V perhaps?
