you mean you don't know where they downloaded? Mine downloaded to the Downloads folder (Windows).N 4 LIFE wrote: Thu Feb 09, 2023 6:36 pm Yes, I would back up the setup files if I knew where they were.

I will try redownloading. it has been years since I installed Concerto. I did some reading and think I've got it figured out. Not going to update Roland Cloud right now. It sucks that they are going to take all those instruments away. I opened the program and everything works but none of my saved programs will load. More than 1000 of them. Arg...

How can you download 1987 or Concerto again? I don't see either of them listed in the Roland Cloud app or on Roland's site.Examigan wrote: Thu Feb 09, 2023 6:36 pm I just downloaded 1987 again, just to remind myself of what happens, and the file was in my Downloads folder of my PC. I just copied and pasted whichever files I DL'ed to where ever, like an external drive, etc.

in the cloud app, select the Discontinued section. Each one of those include the Concerto plugin with the indicated sample material.

Thanks, but I have no "Discontinued" section in the Cloud app. Down the left side of the app, I have News, Membership, Offers, Test Drive, Hardware, Software, and Library. Opening any of those gives me a few different choices across the top, like Essentials, Zenology, Legendary...all the way to Software Solutions. There's no "Discontinued" in any of those.JamminFool wrote: Sat Feb 11, 2023 6:08 pm in the cloud app, select the Discontinued section. I'm using v2.6.3 of the app, and I thought there was a "Discontinued" section in it a year or so ago...or maybe longer.

in the latest version (2.6.8, i think) it is the rightmost-tab across the top after you select the Software section along the left side.

Ah, OK, thanks. That's not in my version, and the latest version doesn't run on Win7. One more reason to do the upgrade I've been putting off....JamminFool wrote: Sat Feb 11, 2023 7:49 pm in the latest version (2.6.8, i think) it is the rightmost-tab across the top after you select the Software section along the left side.

I'm pretty sure they removed it if you run the latest roland cloud update. I did a bunch of research and moved all the rmr or rvr files, whatever they are called but never was able to find the sample library which is supposed to be 40 gig. And I don't think RCM is backwards compatible anyways.planetearth wrote: Sat Feb 11, 2023 6:03 pmHow can you download 1987 or Concerto again? While messing around with the Anthology stuff today I realized that all the Performance patches are missing from every Anthology synth. That really sucks because the combos were incredibly good. But there is no "PERFORMANCE" button on the digital versions. Same with the JV-1080. It really sucks.
I also had the experience of the Juno 60 Chorus completely dead for a few days even though I reinstalled it and it said that everything was fine. Eventually I pulled up the Zen FX and selected the Juno 60 chorus from there and the Juno Chorus plug in started working again. Surely Roland doesn't want us to work this hard do they?

i have absolutely no idea what any of this means and how it relates to backing up the installers for the discontinued products.N 4 LIFE wrote: Sun Feb 12, 2023 2:09 am

Old Hardware is getting more expensive, not mention older in age. Plus I'd like to see these Digital Classics get made they're practically Vintage age now if you compare how Vintage 80's analogues where in the 90's. Like why isn't Yamaha getting Steinberg to make VST versions of their classics like the SY Series? Missed opportunity. Wonder if Arturia will do a license deal hell they did one with Korg on their MS-20 emulation.Caine123 wrote: Wed Feb 08, 2023 7:38 pmyes this is also what i want, there are other companies like KORG putting out non-cloud classics with expansion cards etc. and Roland Cloud really sucks in that regard. i cannot defend them and nor shouldnt get defeneded, it just lacks and sucks. Brian if you read it this is nothing personal but you guys with Roland Cloud should be overthinking your offers. but i guess as the SRX cards etc. are sold seperately this wont get changed.... to make even more bucks out of these old cards is pretty bad, sure one can say it is still cheaper than hardware but same time we are in 2023 now and i dunno if the cloud is cheaper than the hardware which is physical and so on.ViolentAshes91 wrote: Wed Feb 08, 2023 7:29 pmStill Jonesing for the JD-990 with expansions, along with the Alpha Juno.![]()
To be honest. I don't why they couldn't of put the 990 features into the JD-800 VST.
Also where are the cards for the JD-800? Seriously they can be added?
I hope Korg does the W/01 soon along Z1 and Trinity (fully expanded with MOSS cards). *Sighs* One can dream.

"Discontinued" with all the Concerto anthologies is still on Roland Cloud 2.6.8 - I think that's the latest version?N 4 LIFE wrote: Sun Feb 12, 2023 2:09 am

I am tempted to subscribe because I want the D50. I really like the classic Soundtrack patch which I will never tire of hearing.
Now, what are my options in terms of eventually owning this plug in?

Wait for them to be running a promotion which they have done usually once or twice a year like Play 4 Life where you can subscribe to Roland Cloud for a year at either Pro or Ultimate levels to end up with either one or two lifetime plugin keys at the end of the year respectively. Pro includes a D50 plugin you can play with all year and then acquire a lifetime license for after the year is up. It was recently $99 for the year.ghostwhistler wrote: Fri Mar 03, 2023 8:39 pm I am tempted to subscribe because I want the D50. Ok thanks, that all sounds monstrously convoluted. But if I subscribe at the 'pro' level I can get access to the D50?
