mmm...over my head now, lol.
what if you -getting into the open303 discussions again-
write a pattern using either tap method, then copy it...
you can re-tap the rhythm with same notes? (just for
argument's sake)

incidentally, your randomizer on beta2 is a great creative
tool, great analysis of how acidlines are created, especially
the 'key' random (as opposed to pure pitch random, which while
essentially the same thing, etc. gives a nice twist)
this is something that would - eventually - be very good in the
nonx0x, if you ever attack that again, as the x0x random is
usually gibberish. :tu:

what developments, antto?

GOT IT! Just read again the instructions. Now Venom is running through Volcano 2 and MeldaMchorus and Toraverb...

i'm trying to make myself a "framework" around the VST 2.4 SDK
and will make a bunch of plugins with it eventually
once i'm happy with it, i'll try to make GUI capabilities in it too
and i guess i'll port Venom, but that's too far away it seems
It doesn't matter how it sounds..
..as long as it has BASS and it's LOUD!

don't want to distract things, but...can you get the
sequencer to step with a gate trigger from an external device?
eg: audio transient from a drum, etc.
idea is, you clock the sequencer with a drum trigger, and can
change the pattern dependent on external drum patterns;
could be cool as an extra 'mode'.

how about just wrapping up a new beta of venom with that sound
you previewed?!! :x :bang: :D

yo
well, not much.. the last few weeks i haven't been doing much productive things
situation at my job was intense (ya know.. holydays)
at least i shot a bunch of photos, recorded some videos

i made a video demonstrating how Venom works with midi notes mapped to buttons
in the whole video - i never touch the mouse
some of the features of Pattern Edit mode can be seen too
here (preferably watch it in HD):

i also made a small tool (VST) for tuning x0xes and 303s (vco tuning) .. there is a video there too if anyone's interested, the download link and details are at the x0x forums..

that's it for now.. some things are about to happen soon, so i'm waiting to see.. :?

I almost forgot how much this thing rocks soundwise... hope you get some time in your holidays to work on it. :)

Awesome! :)
Looks like fun!
Some of the patterns (especially the one at 3:46) could be Metallica riffs (from the good Metallica days) :hihi:

Cheers

Absolutely fantastic.. thank you so much for the video and vst tuning app for the xoxbox.

Post

wow, very impressive; it's getting to be more than any mere plugin.
no mouse prog'ging!!!
visual feedback is very good and it sounds great. better head over
and grab the tuning app...

Post

wow, looks AMAZING, both the GUI and the mouse-free pattern editing :D

This plugin is going to be one of the all-time greats :D

yep!

I had the luck to work with a hardware one years ago and i loved the programming.
that's one of the things why i hate software :?

will we be able to setup from which octave the programming has to be done?
