I can't speak from authority not owning Logic 8 anymore (and of course there being a Logic 9 and X that I never owned and used) but I don't think so... but please don't take that as being a factual comment... maybe more of an uneducated impression, dunno.TheoM wrote:cool but i may be missing something all this time re s1's browser.. pm me if you can if you don't wish to discuss it here. But as far as i can see logic's browser can no absolutely everything studio one's can besides drag and drop of plugins
Lot's of S1's drag and drop capability may go unnoticed. I'll list a few here and I guess you can clarify if Logic does any or all of it or not.
- Drop a plug (verb) to create a new send + FX bus.
- Drop the entire mixer to store all it's FX chains at once.
- Drop any plug to store it's preset or chain.
- Drop any selected midi to export a midi file.
- Drop a clip to replace all it's instances on the timeline.
- Drag / drop transient detection (grooves).
- Drag / drop audio directly to midi (extraction).
- Drag / drop drum maps directly to the piano roll.
- Drag / drop from the plugin UI to expose an envelope.
- Drag / drop plugs directly from plugin UI's to other plugin UI's chains.
- Drag / drop FX to clips.
- Drag / drop midi from the key editor directly to arrange. (new track and clip)
- Drag / drop consolidated audio stems (or regions) directly to the file system.
- Drop a file directly into arrange from the Internet (Soundcloud), with download progress on the clip in arrange.
There's some more stuff there. Again, I don't own Logic anymore (and never owned the last two versions) so you'd have to clarify some of that one way or another.
