Damn, that sucks! It’s a little worrisome. MN had no ideas what could be the problem?

walker said it was something about a bad calibration.
the knob still worked, but then me recalibrating it killed it
im not good with technical shit.
i hadnt mentioned yet, that i had tried clocking it so fast, as i didnt want them to say "well you f**ked it, what did you think would happen?" which i know they wouldnt, but you get paranoid...
but ill mail them when i hear back from elevator just to let them know its sorted/or ask for their assistance if needed, and ill send the video of my playback array loop, and a little info on what i "think" may have been the cause?
that is the only thing i can think of, other than that, everything was just average cv in, no weird configurations or anything

i wouldn't worry too much, there's a lot of units out there in the wild, mine seems to be the only one (so far) that has this particular issue, but many folk had theirs a month before me.elxsound wrote: Thu Jul 06, 2023 8:10 pm Damn, that sucks! it's basically a small computer, chances are that one in a million (rough odds) is going to fail.
im just that lucky one in a million!

ive heard back from make noise about my fast clock, it seems as i thought it wouldn't cause any issues such as this.vurt wrote: Thu Jul 06, 2023 8:18 pm walker said it was something about a bad calibration.

the worst that might happen with a fast clock, is it might miss some triggers. audio rate clocking is possible.

That’s good to know because I kept wondering how fast clocking could cause problems when they seem to have a patch anything anywhere design approach, well, except for Teleplexer with its ominous warnings.vurt wrote: Fri Jul 07, 2023 2:41 pmive heard back from make noise about my fast clock, it seems as i thought it wouldn't cause any issues such as this.vurt wrote: Thu Jul 06, 2023 8:18 pm walker said it was something about a bad calibration.

hopefully once they get the unit back, they can track down the issue and program a fix.

ok, unit arrived on friday when the missus was here
so after she dozed off at 2am, i was in here installing the module, and having a quick test.
quick being one hour, with not pitch variation, just fm
spent the past couple of days going through the early patches again, just to get up to speed.
and now enjoying it, like nothing ever happened
massive thanks of course, to everyone at make noise and elevator sounds, great service all round

Just saw someone on MW having the same issue. Hopefully it's not too contagious...vurt wrote: Mon Jul 03, 2023 6:53 pm not sure what ive pressed, but my fm on side b doesnt seem to do anything?

same side too?
hopefully mine will be there in a few days, and they can find the problem. get an update out for it maybe.
seems is definitely software, as the knob is still sending data, so in my head as a non coder, that should be fixable?

Yes, very good.
I wonder how many black Telharmonics there are.
On your Spectraphon woes, did the retailer not offer to swap it?
