If this was in response to my post, I would argue, the risk of "Saturn" becoming surplus, isn't that high, considering how "spartan" the saturation options in "Pro-Q 4" are: "warm", "subtle" and none.
All I want in practice, is to be able to saturate the top or middle band without affecting the lows.

(It would also be nice, to be able to cut something, while adding harmonics, but this would be much harder to implement).

I've used it a bit but what I really like is the ability to flip between spectral and "generic" dynamic eq all in the same plugin to see which sounds best. I have to say that a lot of the time I find spectral eq does something a bit weird to the sound and makes it unnatural (not just pro q but all the others too).

Not to derail this thread but the whole resonance suppression thing is a bit overblow imho. Yes, there are time that's it's useful but not as often as you'd think given the bandwagon that's rolling.
