I tried something out, while attempting to determine which convolver was the most accurate.
to null via changing the phase of one channel, and combining the output of both, I discovered that it was impossible for two instances of Reverberate LE to completely null.
The difference was inaudible, but analysis with metering tools, showed a difference of about -150 dBFS RMS and about -132 dBFS peak.
Sure its insignificant and inaudible, buy why is this happening?
If I installed several instances on one track, and another set on a 2nd track, and randomly enabled only one instance on each of the tracks, it was impossible to null any instance on the 1st track, against the only active instance on the 2nd track.
What was even more interesting was that the null varied, depending on which instance I used.
of course I used the same impulse in all instances, and the same audio sent to both tracks.
I did not use any time stretching, or any time start/time end features so the entire length of the impulse was used.
Using Reaper on Windows 10 32 bit version - with VST 32 bit version of Reverberate LE 1.007. @ 96K, with 96K impulses
Is Reverberate LE using some random seed?

Reverberate - Convolution reverb with modulation for Mac and PC (AU, AAX, VST)

Hi
--- EDIT ---
The Mac version has now been released :)
--- /EDIT ---
--- EDIT ---
As of 30 May Reverberate is on sale for £30 and there is a 30-day demo. Many thanks to all the beta testers :) If anybody finds any bugs with the demo or full version please do let me know. I'm still collecting Mac votes and when sales have been sufficient to support buying a Mac, I'll perhaps do one.
--- /EDIT ---
I've just opened a beta phase on a zero-latency convolution reverb plugin I've been working on that has some modulation capability. I'd be very interested in people's feedback (mainly if they think the modulation I've added in really helps liven up the sound or not).
The main idea here is to try and open up the sound of convolution reverbs a little by adding a little modulation and post processing. For the post effect I've got a chorus to thicken the sound a little and a modulating EQ to provide some movement. There's also the ability to modulate the mix between two back-to-back IRs (each has it's own EQ and envelopes, etc). I figure using two different IRs, panned in different places and using different EQs then modulating between them can help liven up the sound a little.
I'd be interested to know if people think the ideas here make convolution reverb sound a bit less static.

A few notes:
- The beta expires 1 July, after then there'll be a new version up or I'll have released it fully.
- It's Windows VST only, if sufficient people are interested though I may port it to the Mac (contact me here or via the website if so).
- It's a beta, so if anybody spots any issues in various hosts, on x platform or with x set of samples etc it would be helpful to post a message so I can try and fix the issues.
Thanks
Matt
