yes, the owner of spacesynth.de was kind enough to upload a few tracks of mine even if they were not excatly Spacesynth (a truly spacesynth album has been part of my projects for years, but I never find the time to work on it...)
I thought I knew your surname !

Whoever who want to use my tracks to praise these synths in public are certainly very welcome to upload them to their site or whereever.

Cheers
Dunno, I was kind of thinking of something with cover and stuff, sort of a regular compilation, you know...

Have a look at the post by TristezaOrange on page 2 of this thread.

Hey there :) How do you know it, from personal contact on a forum or something (please be patient, as somebody here can confirm, my memory sucks) or other source?

DNA, if you're still reading this, what do you say about improving eSLine with tempo-based delay mode and tempo-based rate knob in Phaser section? Or, a more precise way of showing the delay times, so far it's only a value from 0 to 10, saying nothing about the actual delay time.

Also, the attack of the envelope sounds a bit weird to me, it's as if it's overly exponential. Did the actual Solina have this same kind of attack?

BTW, I just did a nice test with eSLine. I turned everything on, held the sustain pedal, and played all 61 keys on my controller. The CPU use was ONLY 10% of a 2 GHz Core2Duo! That is AMAZING!

Thank you very much tomg for doing that.

Just to let you know - vst cafe seems up again. I hate free hosting ;)

Yes, Robert did great job here. Well, to be honest thanks to eSLine I started to like all Solina clones. I mean - i'm more into pure analogue synths (screaming tiny moog machines etc. ;) ) and earlier I was just thinking - what can be so special about turning on/off few sounds and playing them together ? :)

I like the idea but to be honest i've discovered some problems with tempo based (mainly host sync) plugins such as Rhytmus, Ocet and first i'll need to deal with it because i don't want to introduce potentially buggy solution in another plugin ;). I know that for example 4.41 doesn't tell anything about the delay time. Right know it's more like setting this by ear - so im sure there's some space left for improvements :)

Ahh, one question - what do you think about an option to turn on/off velocity sensitivity ?

yea, noticed that too but to be honest I ... ignored it or forgot ;) Im not sure if Solina had this kind of attack.

Thanks for your reports.

About earlier reports - Ocet, Rhytmus. Cardinale forwarded me nice infos about Ocet :)
One question about these plugins - syncing tempo with host works fine for you ? I have some problems in Ableton with it. When I hit play in host - sometimes, the sound seems to start playing too late and as a result it speeds up... it's usually the first bar only problem. I wondering if in for example Reaper it acts the same ?

What's going on with the Vstcafe website? It's still nearly impossible to open.....

Everything goes as long as it it used to praise the synths, crediting the maker of these synths...and eventually DNA for fixing and hosting them :)

maybe better : a Velocity Sensitivity Knob. (2 SE components only needed = negligible CPU)

Yes, it would be nice to add velocity to Solina.

If you mean the plugin didn't play the first beat/note, then yes I also got that problem on Rhythmus. But Ocet sync perfectly fine for me in Reaper, as long as I use MIDI note to activate/deactivate the pattern. If I'm not mistaken C3=pattern 1. And also no 'speeding up' problem here.

I use them for composing not live performance, so I don't start at bar 1. Then I can get the Rhythmus to play the first beat/note by automating (On) slightly earlier.

I hope you could fix this :)

Oh, about tempo syncing, in FL8 ES plugins check for the tempo when the sequencer is run, they don't change the tempo before that. That's probably a better way than syncing on the fly and possibly introducing audible artefacts.

On the other hand, DNA, what do you say about introducing internal clock to the plugins which require the sequencer to run? This way people wouldn't wonder why is a preset silent (as in OR2v), and we could have per-patch tempo parameter, which could definitely be usable.

Also, what about unison mode for Juno emu? I can't seem to find that...

actually, when im writing this - im in the middle of testing such solution. I picked rhytmus because it's easy to spot syncing problems using loops / drums.

right now, rhytmus has internal clock, the loop is triggered from any keyboard note and there's no need to click play on host to have synced tempo played. so at the end, you can just lay your notes (triggering the sound) on piano roll and virtually start, end the loop whenever you want. So far, I like it a lot because, well it acts like other plugins now :)

Juno 6 had unison ? some example would be nice :)
but even if it had then Arpeggio is first - it's bugged, it doesnt play the correct octaves.
