Don't worry, links to new version will be up soon. It wasn't me taking them down, I'll make sure that they'll be more persistant in future.

I'm actually almost done. Unison detune works now, the thing is 6dB less loud, bandpass filters are optimised, no more cryptic parameters.
One issue is left, note stealing in this one can cause clicks. I need to revise the voice controller a bit to make note stealing more natural.
Then, I need to squeeze a u-he logo somewhere and I want to add preset management like in my other machines.

I don't comment about release dates, but I spent a whole lot of time during my vacation thinking about it. I think I sussed out the sweet spot there. I'd double the Mapping Generators but I'd keep 2 LFOs. I'd just make both LFOs have *all* LFO features (multiwave *and* phasemod/S&H). I wouldn't add 2 oscillators. Just one (another slave to Osc1). I would however have 2 filters with 2 independent in/outs each. And all of Bazille's "extras".breakmixer wrote:PS when's ACE XL going to be released? Sorry for OT...
There's just this 3rd synth that I'm uncertain about. Could be that Lush-idea (whcih I don't favour anymore). Could be that sequencer-based synth. Or a *simple* modular synth in the vain of System 100m (simple modules, great patching freedom). Dunno.

Bazille is my fav virtual modular ever, I am eagerly awaiting the release of that - and trying my hand at the patch contest, just in caseUrs wrote:...Or a *simple* modular synth in the vain of System 100m (simple modules, great patching freedom). Dunno.
But a system100m has been my dream synth since 1991 when I jammed a bit with Sect in Vancouver - a sys100 and 700 in the same room!
Something inspired by, or in the same vein as a system100 I would buy two of

The new beta is up!

(you need to register/log in to see it)
This version is 6dB less loud, but most existing presets should still work. I don't think the sound changed much as everybody was quite happy with it as it was.
However, the voice organisation and envelopes do mimic analogue behaviour quite accurately now. Thus there's a different "feel" to playing it.
Contributions to the factory library are welcome and can be sent to urs@u-he.com until April 2nd.
Yours exhaustedly,
Urs

One little thing...every time I scan Tyrell in either Sonar x64 or Reaper x64 I get an error that says:
u-he Error
File couldn't be created to G:\VST Plugins\u-he\TyrellN6\TyrellN6.data\Support\com.u-he.TyrellN6.midimap.txt
I'm using Win7 64-bit, and I should have all the appropriate permissions (& UAC) off, so I'm not sure why I keep getting this. It only happens during scans, not when using the plugin.

Bizarre... maybe do the Win7 fix anyway and move TyrellN6.data into Documents:Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:One little thing...every time I scan Tyrell in either Sonar x64 or Reaper x64 I get an error that says:

I'll deal with these things shortly, it's part of some general improvements that are on their way.

Disregard that. I resolved the problem.Urs wrote:Bizarre... maybe do the Win7 fix anyway and move TyrellN6.data into Documents:Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:One little thing...every time I scan Tyrell in either Sonar x64 or Reaper x64 I get an error that says:

The first time I installed the new beta I deleted the old 32-bit .dll, and then added the x64.dll and overwrote the data folder. So the second time, I completely removed the Tyrell folder and installed fresh with the newest beta (including both the x64 and 32bit .dll's) and everything is fine now.
