Looks kinda like an Oberhiem drum machine. :)

Mkdr, I think you need to make it more clear that it is the latest demo that MUST be installed, the registration.exe only activates the demo to full version and is not the full version itself - It only just clicked with me after reading it the second time.

So the DEMO is the FULL version once registered with the "mkdr_venomed_registered.exe"

Just a heads up because I nearly only downloaded the above .exe, I have only got the first beta installed presently - will install the Full version this weekend(DEMO and REG.exe)!

Cheers! :)

Ok. Thanks for the info. I'll look how i could make it clearer. I've been a bit under the weather for the past few days and just wanted to do it by the deadline I had set, so some stuff might be a bit rushed. I've also got a few sound design deadlines coming up, which i wan't to concentrate on too.

Anyhow. I hope you are enjoying your Venom :)

Thanks - ps good idea to make pay what you want, minimum 10 Euro, I payed a little more for your superb efforts - Mophoed/Venomed.

PS Is that a little bug on the UI? :hihi:

Cheers!

Venom turned up today...a few questions....

1. any firmware updates, if so, do i need them?
2. i havent connected to my pc yet, any hints/tips about drivers etc etc?
3. any other hints tips or useful venom websites? (ive seen a few about, but havent checked them out so dont know if they are any use)

factory presets are some of the worst ive ever heard. Anyone who bought Venom for the presets must be mental. Thankfully i will be making my own.

the power cable is shite. Its flimsy as hell and 2 foot long. That needs replacing soon as...

anything else i should know before i start (about the synth or the venom-ed)
..best to know before i start i guess.

cheers

i will agree there's a lot of stuff i found unusable in the entire lot. but i thought a couple of the free sets i downloaded had some nice stuff. it's all good. :)

im actually shocked. knowing your style I thought you would loved some those dirty leads and fat basses.

I must also be mental as I found some great presets in all 4 banks. saying that there are some commercial presets that people are raving about that I found about 2 sounds in, max.

as you say, different strokes.

That's probably my fault.
I think some of Taiho's patches are fantastic. I don't know if there is a way to tell who did which patches.

I can't remember what the latest version of the firmware is and I don't know what your unit shipped with but I'd definitely recommend updating. With the original firmware you couldn't use MIDI over USB and the audio interface at the same time. I still get drop outs when using MIDI over USB occasionally but I'm also using a QA (earlier than PP) unit. I think the MP units are much more stable.
