Nice. I used the You Rock YRG-1000 for my entry this month too! Represent! It's impossible NOT to look cool while playing that thing..
Haha, cool!
Well, sitting in my office chair struggling to get it to track properly I think I'm able to make it look uncool :)

I don't know if it's just my unit but it's always skipping a lot of notes. You need to use a special picking technique to make it work. Just moderately quick notes is always a problem so I had to play the track in half speed sometimes in order to do what I wanted... Is your like that too?

Great round this month. Nice job with that OSC preset bank, will have a deeper look at it later. When it came out my sounds were already tweaked from the factory...

Big THANKS goes to Animehaus for prerelease prooflistening my track and giving some useful hints for improvement.

Enjoy the track.

Oh yes. I haven't tried the half speed trick, but I always have to go in afterwards and clean up all the extra glitchy notes and manually add in the ones it missed. Then it sits in the corner for another year until I forget what a pain it is and use it again. We have a true love/hate relationship. :hihi:

Ha, did the same on "Radio Ragna" playing my old strat via vintage Korg Z3 guitar synth. I know a lot about glitchy and missing notes. Some things seem not changed over the time ... :D

Watch out y'all ... I may bring out my DH 100 next time ... :hihi:

Fixed it's squeal with a little soldering!

I feel envy listening about your controllers.
When i was a teen, i literally dreamed about the Synthaxe:

Some years after, an italian invented the Digitar, another midi guitar controller:

and some years ago i was seriously thinking to sell a kidney for the Axis64:

Too bad, i never had the right economy to afford to buy one of the last two (the synthaxe was literally just a teen dream).... sigh

Ha, I have that one as well! It's in permanent squeal mode and the octave button is glitchy... Hmm, should try and fix it some day...

For all its faults, the YRG-1000 is at least quite affordable:

The generation 2 is perhaps a bit better as well...

Mine was returned to the retailer so I got it for €50 :)

I've recently been looking at this one for drums:

Just listen to Allan Holdsworth's "Sand"-album, there is (almost) all you need to hear what can be done with Synthaxe

Hello all!

This is my submission for KVR's One Synth Challenge (OSC #73)

My DAW is Logic Pro X 10.1.1

I used 22 instances of Synthmaster and only used 1 effect in one of those channels, that being a compressor for side chaining the kick bus. I wanted to stay minimal with channel effects as Synthmaster can do very well on it's own!

For the Mastering channel I used: Logic Gain, Logic Multimeter, Logic Channel EQ, Logic Multiprocessor, Logic Direction Mixer, Logic Adaptive Limiter, and lastly one more Logic Multimeter.

Please Download for MUCH higher quality audio :)

My nightshifts are finally over and I had the time to listen the entries so far. Wow a lot of gems again

OSC is an endless source of musical inspiration. Can`t wait to listen the rest which will come the next days :D

I see you are talking about plastic guitars in the meantime

Can`t make any contribution here because I still love my wooden guitar and can`t imagine anything else, but it is interesting what "dreams" young men really have

@Tatanka: I`m glad to see that you could get over your "lazyness" ( ) and that you really improved your song :)

@Doctorbob: I guess we have got a new topic for pm: Photography :D
Talk to you soon :)

@GrokSynth: Nice video, but I was thinking the same like others concerning the missing of rhythmic moving images. Your track is very rhythmic and lively and so this more static images doesn`t matches best. But neverthless nice, thanks for sharing :)

@Richard Semper: Where is your entry???? :x
I hope it will come :scared:

Cheers
Yvonne
