You already can, there is an option in the Arturia Software centre for where you want the data to bewtptrs wrote: Wed Aug 23, 2023 10:31 am I hope Arturia will make it possible to use different data folders for their synths and effects. Arturia V Collection 10. Predictions.

Yes but unless I'm mistaken, you cannot split up the Synths (V-Collection) and the Effects (FX Collection), so if you want Effects on your internal hard drive, you have to put the V-Collection (which is currently 30+ GB and growing) there as well.aMUSEd wrote: Wed Aug 23, 2023 10:43 amYou already can, there is an option in the Arturia Software centre for where you want the data to bewtptrs wrote: Wed Aug 23, 2023 10:31 am I hope Arturia will make it possible to use different data folders for their synths and effects. I assume it just moves the things that it makes sense to move and that take up a lot of space, particularly samples, it's not going to move everything as that could impact on performance, so I can't see why it would move anything FX related anywaywtptrs wrote: Wed Aug 23, 2023 12:10 pmYes but unless I'm mistaken, you cannot split up the Synths (V-Collection) and the Effects (FX Collection), so if you want Effects on your internal hard drive, you have to put the V-Collection (which is currently 30+ GB and growing) there as well.aMUSEd wrote: Wed Aug 23, 2023 10:43 amYou already can, there is an option in the Arturia Software centre for where you want the data to bewtptrs wrote: Wed Aug 23, 2023 10:31 am I hope Arturia will make it possible to use different data folders for their synths and effects. The recommended minimum specs for Acid V are somewhat over-stated. I just tested it in demo mode on an old Haswell rig that is all core locked (4 cores - 8 threads) to 3.5 ghz and it is running just fine. They indicate a 4ghz turbo boost as minimum spec. I like this plugin. The sequencer is pretty cool and it outputs the midi so it is usable in many applications including programming my own analog Behringer knock offs.

Seems a bit unreasonable to want to split FX and V Collection data files. The option is there for you to move your data files to a different drive, and it does that just fine.

Did you ever get around to using the Cherry taurus?KenMyr wrote: Fri May 13, 2022 12:13 pm In case we don't all perish in a nuclear holocaust, and there is a V10:
Augmented Brass and Augmented Woodwinds seem like a no-brainer to me. Possibly because I have no brain?
I'm also still hoping Arturia will do a take on the Moog Taurus. Possibly because I'm full of bull...

Thumbs up for Acid V. Having a 303 in the collection makes perfect sense. It sounds great and they added plenty of new features to make it interesting. I have three hardware 303s and ABL3, and still bought Acid V right away. In addition to the usual sequencer approach, you can play it like a regular mono synth with pitch bend and vibrato.
I didn’t need another 303 and wasn’t expecting this, but they did a great job.
If you already own V Collection and you’re planning to upgrade to the next version, you might as well pick up Acid V now; you’ll get a discount on V Collection 10 for the same amount you paid, so it’s like getting this plugin early for free. (Or at least that’s how it worked with the individual plugins released ahead of V Collection 8 and 9; don’t quote me on this, but this seems to be following the same pricing pattern.)

I assume they will add Augmented Grand Piano and Brass, so that leaves one instrument (or two?) left. I doubt I will pay $149 for two plugins (augmented series) I don't want. It's a shame but it is what it is.

606 Probably.
Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roland_TR-606The Roland TR-606 Drumatix is a drum machine built by the Roland Corporation from 1981 to 1984. It was originally designed to be used with the Roland TB-303, a monophonic analog bass synthesizer, to provide a simple drum and bass accompaniment to guitarists without backing bands.

I really hope arturia do not attempt a 101. It will not compare to tal and softube. Acid v is fine but is still beaten by abl3 for sound. Phoscyon is still probably a touch better as well, though perhaps down to preference.

I kinda wish they'd let us know. Was considering buying Minifreak while it was on sale, but didn't want to pay just to have to pay for it again if I want to update to V10, assuming it will come out near the end of the year like everyone expects it to.
