so since I am not alone it seems ever more important to me to make also the updates for the rest of the brass instruments available (fh b , trombone b, trumpet b, tuba).P.T. wrote:
In almost every instrument I have gone back to using the original versions rather than the TVEC 3.

Maybe in the future all updates could be saved to include the name of the library they are intended for at the beginning of the file name. So, for example it could be something like:
library_instrument_articulation_type.zip
OR:
DIA_Cellos_Solo_fix.zip
CSII_Cellos_Mute_fix.zip
CBII_Trombones_Mute1.zip
etc, etc.
Especially since there are so many files involved I would think it would make sense to have a consistent file naming convention across all product lines. I don't mean to bud in... just my two cents. As it is, I don't know how any sample developer can manage to stay organized!

Available on iTunes, Amazon, etc.

If you have Diamond be aware that one of the Diamond updates is NOT for the TVEC so you have to install it in a different location.2 things
- Just download the January updates.
From what I saw everything else is already contained in the regular downloads available to the group buy customers.- Organize your downloads by saving them in separate folders, such as "Diamond Updates" or "CS2 Updates".
This will prevent a lot of headaches later.

I had to walk away for a few days and count to ten, so to speak. We'll see how things shake out over the next few months of use.

Hi,
I created an example where you can hear the trumpet samples in the Diamond TVEC3 English Horn:
http://www.power-xs.net/download/eh_tve ... sposed.mp3
It's the same little melody I posted earlier to demonstrate the difference in tone quality between the old and the new tvec3 patches - just transposed so that the trumpet samples are triggered. Imo, you can clearly hear which notes use trumpet samples and which do not. I believe this should be fixed (also in the Clarinet and the Oboe where the same bug is present as in the English Horn).
Also, still waiting for a fix for the intervalive bug in the solo brass b instruments and the tuba.
A word from the developer would be appreciated!
cheers, akj

Just updating Diamond and found a buglet.
In the DiaSoloBrassAFix .zip file, these two files are not updated:
...\71_Solo_Trumpet_a\Solo_Trumpet_A_Instruments\02_Trumpet_staccato.nki
...\73_Solo_Trombone_a\Solo_Trombone_A_Instruments\02_Trombone_staccato.nki
They are dated September 2008, same as the ones they replace.

Just borwsed this thread aftera few months away... Isee there are December pacthes and January patches. a) It's disappointing not to be notified by email, as most devs do b) are the January patches cumulative, or must the December ones also be applied?

I'm wondering the same thing too lingyai.
I'm still downloading my purchases from the GB. Was away for most of January so just started downloading last week. I have a super slow ADSL connection here. Looks like it will be another 2 weeks before I have the whole lot downloaded (CS2, CB2, and Diamond). I'm getting 150kbps to 320kbps download speeds. I pay for 1M but never get it here. I think I got 1M download speeds once, for one day, and I almost passed out. 200kbps is average here.
